The humming will stop with the key out. The relay is stuck on rather than clicking off so the EGR will still be getting power with the key off

Nah @Olliebeal just swap your ECU relay and the heated screen relay around. My sisters MK3 used to keep the ECU energised with the key off because the relay was fucked, never drained the battery because she was always driving luckily. One day I borrowed it and wondered why the boost solenoid...
