I had trouble with getting the cold air feed pipe off the valve. A lot of others have aswell. Here is a pic of the notches you have to push in whilst tugging. there is one notch on each side.

Im about to fit some recaros and would prefer to program out the seat airbags rather than using resistors. Ive got an RS tuner but I take it you need an airbag module. Could you talk me through it as I went to the fast chip website and there was 4 airbag modules for bosch 1.8 bosch 2.0 etc etc...

Yeah got a couple of the display port to DVI adapters. That card looks good but think its only 2 monitors - 1 port is hdmi which my monitors dont have.

Good news then.... in that its not too expensive or hard to fix. Still annoying it failed. It must have had bearing failure on the wheel and then stopped it spinning and the plastic wheel burned causing the smoke. Is it fixed now?

Forgot to say, had this happen on a golf and it was just the tensioner that had gone - the tensioner wheel was made of plastic and the belt melted it causing massive smoke, that was only £50 to fix at VW. As above it might be the water pump thats gone though.

Id have to agree, replcemant . my windscreen is looking a little scratched from the wipers. Question for you. Just checked my AIT sensor and it doesnt move at all really, there is a tiny tiny bit of wiggle but all in all its in solidly.

You probably know but they are great for monitoring a load of sensors on the fly whilst you drive as well as logging etc.

Thats good news mate. Im sure you are right with the intake temperature sensor as I know when my car is cold and its cold outside the revs do jump a little. Have you got a bluetooth OBD2 unit and Torque on your phone? When I was testing out the Fatty induction kit I used this to check the intake...

@blademomo minus £550 /£600 if needing a cambelt . 53 plate wouldnt be a 182 if that helps unless its had its plates changed. nice to have low mileage though. EDIT - I just checked and there were a very few 182s with 53 plates.
