Composition?
Have a look at the rule of thirds. That's a starting point there.
Have a read of this. Some good pointers.

I'm not sure on getting a full set up for that price.
I'm currently looking for a projector for my camera club and will be spending about £500 to get a half decent one. Someone came in with an Epson one which they paid around £350 for and it wasn't great but that could be to do with her setting...
Stick to f4 and higher ISO and you'll get loads more stars. Even on 30 second exposures.
Last minute trip to the beach this evening for some light painting and then the skies started to clear revealing the Milky way. Unfortunately its not the best time of year to view it with the faintest part...
I'm trying to get people that I know to use Telegram.
Can send bigger files over, don't have to pay each year and it's generally a better app.
Can get it on the computer and tablet and it all syncs instantly.
Wifi transfer to the canon app
Plus Lightroom mobile. Handy if you want to show something before you get to a laptop. Exports them as a very small file size tho but good enough for showing quickly.
Spotted some dolphins today. Got a few alright shots but this was probably the best.
New. I shouldn't have got rid of my zoom!
Straight from the 6d to my phone, straightened and a bit of editing in Lightroom mobile.
And another sunrise shot...
First day back in work today. Shock to the system getting up at 5 after nearly a month of 9am starts. Back to usual then.
Started like this.

I need to start pushing it more this year. Going to meet some friends in a bit as me and the wife have been asked to do their wedding in December. Should be fun!
Nice.
I was going to go out but I feel like s**t. Mate text me saying it was really clear and there's bugger all wind tonight, plus the late moonrise.
Oh well. Next time.
Liked.
I set up a page last year but haven't really tried to push it.
I've managed to sell a few shots and I've got a few mounted prints in a gallery.
Need to try and push it more this year though.
So you are going from the z3 to the iPhone 6 now? I have the 6 for work and it's alright but not a patch on the Sony IMO. But if you've always had an iPhone until the z3 you'll probably love it.
My Mrs got the z3 compact and the 6 (work) around the same time and she hates using the 6
Went out last night for a few hours looking for some decent milky way shots. One thing I didn't consider was the gale force winds! That out an abrupt end to one spot so ended up at this bridge. Walked through marsh to get a bit closer to the waters edge. Not the best shot, the milky way wasn't...
I opted for the newest 190 ProB today. The 4 piece leg setup so it's a bit shorter when folded down.
Went for the midi head too and I'll swap with Laura if and when I need to.
Paid £100 and a couple of old zooms that were gathering dust.
A lot sturdier that my current one but I'll be keeping...
Haha yeah it wasn't as windy today as it has been here.
It's something I've seen before and wanted to have a crack at. It works really well with good colours at sunrise/set.
Have a look on Flickr, there are some brilliant ones.
What?
Each shot was set on aperture priority at f/2.8 so they were roughly 1/60th of a second exposures.
Left camera running for 47 minutes. Put all into starstax in lighten mode.
Probably Killzone 2 - Either Radec Academy or Tharsis Refinery. Both small maps, really good with full games, 12v12 iirc.
Knew exactly where to run for each game mission and was really good with the "Assassination" game mode. Only a few places to hide the target so you really did have to work as...
Took this in my back garden tonight. Not the best location but I was cooking and didn't realise the sky was so good.
This was 569 shots with a 5 second interval. Stacked using lighten mode in Starstax and some PP in lightroom.

Yeah the wife just looked and she paid £143 in 2009 for her setup.
Can find the head for £50ish though and the legs for around £100. Laura has said hers is pretty jerky though but that might be because she hardly uses it.
Thats the exact setup the wife has and I really like it. Can get a new version of the legs and a ball head for £199 from our local indy - they will match WEX's prices. I'm just not sure I want a ball head as I quite like the Swivel & Tilt of the 804

Not sure if that works. Stupid amazon app for sharing.
