Yeah. The 5 is terrible. Although there are a few decent apps. There's a full manual camera available now too for it but it's fiddly. Not sure on compact tho although the wife has a canon of some sort which is pretty good. Can be fully manual too or just point and shoot.

With the 10-20 it's sharpest across the whole picture at f8. If you go down to 4 then the edges will be a bit softer. The 24-105 is OK. It's what I use at the moment. Not the fastest but it is handy for a walk about lens. I'll be upgrading in the future though to two faster lenses I think.
