The banging noise under hard changes is one of the mounts, probably the dogbone if it's coming from under the floor, polybushes stops it from happening. Can't help you with the other weird noise though, you sure it's not the aux belt squealing?

That's a good point, i've been using the same plugs for the past 5 years.

Mine revs itself from 900-2000rpm when it's cold, but it only lasts a minute or two when you first set off, if you leave it for a few minutes before driving it doesn't do it at all.

My Fastchip 98ron map has the cold idle at 1100rpm, then 900/950rpm when it's up to temp. OEM map is 1000rpm on cold idle and 850rpm when up to temp. It's only a small change but it makes quite a difference to how it drives when stone cold, gets rid of the jerky power delivery it has as standard.

As already discussed, they don't work if the raised lip on your battery tray's snapped off, as is the case with mine and the OP's.

The clamp doesn't do a damn thing on mine, the raised lip on the battery tray that keeps it in place has snapped off, so I took a strap off an old sports bag and fed it under the battery tray to strap the thing down. The strap keeps it secure enough for the clamp to do it's job.

I only get to see one a day, they used to change every time I clicked on something, but one day that stopped happening. Also even though i've seen all of them before, there's a quite a few I haven't seen since they stopped changing. Not that it matters in the great scheme of things.
