    Inlet manifold removal

I got my fuel rail guard off with a normal socket set and a small extension bar thing, it's just that you have to put the socket in first then attach the handle thingy bit, as there's not much space in between the guard and the front of the car.

    The Ford Appreciation Thread

I know a bloke like that, he just tinkers with his classic bikes and builds Tritons. (Triumph engine with a Norton frame) However I know another bloke that's built a Cobra rep with a Rover V8 in it, i'll be checking that out this Saturday, i'll try and get some pics but my DSLR's broken.

    Standard Clio 182 airbox

Then the oil vapour will drip on the manifold instead of being burnt off in the engine. I use one of these instead as i'm using a silicone elbow with a V6 box.

    air feed ?

The acoustic valve is behind the passenger wheel arch. Taken from another thread. * Remove (entirely) the air box, disconnecting both air feeds (one to the right and one directly under). Air box is held in place by two screws and jublie clips * Jack the car up under front left, ensure you...

There's 100s of those body kits about, i've seen three Clios like that where I live.

My 1st attempt at spraying bullets, badge and gear knob insert

Butter knife or flathead screwdriver with some tape over the end, then start at the front of the bullets and gently twist/prise them off, they're only clipped in so should just pop on and off.

    budget tyres

You can't get PE2s anymore, it's been a while since i've used them. I agree with keeping 1*2s in top condition, I just spent £900 on belts, dephaser, water pump, alternator, injectors, coil pack and sump gasket, looks like i'll be running rubber bands on mine for a while. lol

    budget tyres

I used PE2s for years usually around £95 a corner, i've never found the grip lacking on any of the cheaper tyres i've used, however the PE2s lasted a hell of a lot longer than any tyre i've ever used since. Never tried PS3s though, i'll have to give them a go when I win the lottery. ;)

    budget tyres

So you wouldn't spend less that £120 a corner? I used to be like that, only buying the most expensive tyres I could find, then from talking to people on here I realised I could get good tyres for far less. Don't get me wrong if you're happy spending that then that's fine mate, it's your car...

    budget tyres

I've never looked for 205s, I only buy 195/45/16s same as the OP, which means for £45-£60, he'll get a good tyre for his car. If I had 205s i'd be looking to spend £60 and above.

    No it doesn't.

    budget tyres

Also I think we need to make a distinction between 'Budget' and 'Ditchfinders', 'Budget' in my book means a known brand with good reviews for £45-£60 each, 'Ditchfinder' means no name sh*t tyres with zero grip for under £45 quid. There's a massive difference between the two, just because a...

    budget tyres

Nothing wrong with his car as he's a mechanic, although he may have played down his driving style to me. lol I'm just telling you what he told me. I liked my RS2s, but I won't use them again unless it's winter, dry weather destroyed them on my car.

    budget tyres

Very very soft compound, your 172 will eat them on a warm day, a mate of mine put them on his 182 daily and they were f*cked within a month, and he's a family man that doesn't drive like tit, just the occasional blast. Same here, Lichelin or Pillelis from China don't even register as tyres for...

    budget tyres

Uniroyal Rainsport 2s are a good budget tyre, they're around £45 each and are bloody good tbh, just don't expect them to last very long on dry days as energetic driving will rip them to shreds. I've got Federal 595s on the front of mine atm, (the normal ones not the semi slicks) and they're...
