    Starter motor problem...

Could be the starter motor or an intermittent battery earth problem, i'd check the earths first before buying a new part.

    Starter motor problem...

When you say dead, is it making any noises when you try and start it, like a relay clicking, or is it just dead as in, turn, nothing?

    Sports cat

So is the 182 (200cell) cat responsible for a couple of extra horses Don? Or should I just admit that a decat might be the only way to squeeze a few extra ponies out of the dog kennel? (Sorry for the slight hijack Craig) :o

    Escort Cosworth Protection Detail...

I need to have a go in one of those at some point, bloody awesome! I'd love you to detail my car you're quite good at it, but I think it would take you a month, some nuclear weapons and cost me as much as the car's worth in labour. lol Nice funky hair btw Gally. (not as nice as mine...

Car Is A Bugger To Start!

I'm not sure having your license number on your keys is the best idea, if you drop in a car park and don't realise whoever finds them can make off with your car. Also how's the battery in the key fob? Sometimes when it's on the way out it won't turn the immobiliser off.

    jms matched inlets worth it?

I've got JMS matched inlets and I have to say I didn't really notice a difference when fitted, however it's the combination of induction, exhaust, remap & inlets that together give you the optimum setup. My car performs a hell of alot better than when I first bought it as standard.

    Name's on cars

It'll be pretty obvious who I am at CSS, I would usually say look for the car full of dog hair, but it'll be getting it's annual clean so won't be recognisable as the dog kennel.......for a day or two anyway. ;)

    200bhp Ebay Clio!!

'Traction control, (very good at holding power down!)' Yeah alright then. :S The black cat stood next to it's got more of a chance of producing 200bhp, and it's traction control is probably alot better at holding the power down.

Just the right amount of clios?

He could fit a few more Clios on his drive, so it's not an obsession untill he's ran out of space and can't cope anymore. Pretty cool sight tbh.

    Standard rear exhaust mount.

Ah right ECP it is then, unless I bite the bullet and get the Prima mount. I'm sick of my stealth exhaust not being stealthy and dangling like an old dogs ballbags. lol

    Standard rear exhaust mount.

Any idea how much they are mate?
  14. DaveDreads

    Standard rear exhaust mount.

Mines knackered and I want to replace it, I know for £35quid I can get the Prima racing one, but for a tenner I can get a new standard one off ebay, or £15quid from ECP. Is it worth me getting one, do they last very long or are they just crap and not worth buying? This is what i'm thinking of...

    Some Guernsey Motorsport

Those hill climb cars are awesome, the alloys on the Golf, Escort, BMW & both Pugs are proper nice, as is the rest of the car. Beach speedway looks like a laugh aswell.

    I love my 182!!!!!

I drove a Citroen C8 for a few days the other week while the garage had my car for some work, it was so sh*t words cannot describe!! Getting back into the Clio and putting my foot down was like being shot out of a f*cking cannon in comparison.

    1/4 mile RWYB day. 08/07/12

It's the smallest weep from the sump gasket, it hardly ever drips, the engine hardly ever needs topping up, it's just residual oil on the sump and gear linkage. If I wiped it all off and put a sump guard on it woudn't drip on anything. I'd get it fixed now if I hadn't just spent £200 on a new...

    1/4 mile RWYB day. 08/07/12

Yeah I could do, it doesn't get through much oil or drip that much, so I could just clean it and cover it up. Seeing as Shakespeare raceway is pay on the day, I might still go for a laugh. Depends how poor I am at the time.

    1/4 mile RWYB day. 08/07/12

Not sure mate, i'm not sure my sump tank would pass scrutineering at the minute, if they looked under my car they'd see nothing but wet oil all over the sump and gear linkage. It's only a very slight leak, but every time the car get's up to temp what's on there runs. :dapprove: I guess I could...

    opinions?

It doesn't look sh*t put it that way, it's just not what i'd do. But if you're happy with it then that's all that counts mate. :approve:
  22. DaveDreads

    opinions?

It looks fine apart from the gaiter, it stands out too much from the rest of the dash and looks a bit weird imo, it'd be perfect if it was black, it'd blend in perfectly with the flocked dash then.
  23. DaveDreads

    Oil leaking a fair bit??

Looks bone dry compared to my sump tank, when was the gasket last changed?

SantaPod don't give a sh*t as long as your car doesn't cross the line over 110mph. lol How much is a helmet these days then? Edit : This one's not that expensive. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/helmets/omp-star-helmet

    172 airbox re-fitting

Right well alot of the East Mids lot are pretty sound, if you join their regional group i'm sure someone close to you would be up for letting you have a look at the standard setup, some of them might have slightly modified airbox setups you get some ideas from aswell.

    172 airbox re-fitting

Where abouts in the country are you?
  29. DaveDreads

    172 airbox re-fitting

The bottom pipe would come in handy, otherwise the box is just taking in hot air rising off the block. The side one can just be replaced with a length of ducting to the acoustic valve area, but just don't attach it to the thing as it restricts the air flow a little to reduce noise. Also if...

    Massive Mistake :(

The good thing was he didn't really know that much about RS Clios, like the difference between RS inlets and standard ones. Some bargins could be had if you're cunning. Although he was no fool, so i'd imagine he may have learnt a few things by now. lol
