LOL, unfortunately I have to wait a couple of weeks untill I can afford new tyres all round before I do mine,
otherwise we'd have my freshly sprayed wheels to look at.
I saw a vid on youtube where a guy did his wheels and just oversprayed onto the tyres,
then scored around it with a blunt knife or similar and just peeled off the overspray.
Theres loads of reviews on other car forums such as Mini, Seat Cupra.net and some 4x4 sites, I just Googled PlastiDip alloy wheels and spent a night reading them, to my knowlege no-one on here has done it yet, apart from one lad that sprayed his roof.
I'll be going for black in a month or so...
The businesses on that industrial estate are in consultation with the local council to see if they can fit gates manned by private security at both ends, it was on West Midlands news the other day.
My mates neigbours complained about his 6 year old lad riding his monkey motorbike in his own garden,
saying it was too loud, it's quite as f*ck compared to their petrol lawn mowers and strimmers.
People like that will complain about anything.
I'm sure there are db limits in residential areas...
No not fiddled with it at all, it's been in there for about a year and a half and it's never felt hot before,
you can touch it, but it's just today i've noticed it getting hot.
I did a round trip of about 50 miles today and both times I removed the HU face it was bloody roasting!
When I got back to my house I took the face off and pressed my hand against the HU and it was so hot
it was like pressing your hand on to a central heating radiator, I swear it's not...
Ring Brentacre, they don't give a sh*t what you do to your car as long as you declare it,
my seats have been removed and it was an option with them and they didn't charge for it,
they only charge extra for BHP gains.
When I started going through modified car insurers I was amazed that it was...
The original Vid in this thread is being shown on (West)Midlands Today at 6:30 BBC1,
the businesses on that industrial estate are up in arms and want the Police to do something about all the nobs racing there all the time.
(The Sky channels in the 970s have West Midlands news I think.)
Yes they fold flat and if you have a quick release front wheel it'll take a bike with ease.
I managed to fit a flat pack Ikea 2 seater sofa in the back of mine.(Just)
Don't they have a Police force in that part of the country?
I might go the next time they have a meet and setup a track suit & baseball cap concession, i'd make a bloody fortune.
I wonder if I could get away with pinstriping my Clio?
I suspect i'd get laughed at, shame really as it's a cool artform but only really suits hotrods.
God I want a hotrod!
Every time he sees a 1*2 he must be thinking, 'look at all these wannabes in 1.2s with their fake body kits and Halfords sport badges'.
I'd have just laughed out loud and as said above, opened the bonnet and shouted, 'yeah it even has a replica 2.0L engine'.
No sorry mate, the buy basket only has a drop down menu for the normal colours.
You might have to ring them for the fluorescent colours, as I can't find them on their website.
I agree, wouldn't lacquer make it impossible to peel off?
I was under the impression that the clear spray they do...
Apparently it's been done with 1 can, but 2-3 is more realistic I think.
I typed in 'Plasti Dip alloys' into Google and read the posts on other car forums and they were buying 3 cans,
2 in order to give them 3 coats each and 1 as a back up.
Slightly concered that all the pics of the roof in your album are from a distance,
does it not look good close up or something?
I'm just going to stick to doing the wheels on mine, although you can get a clear spray to coat the windows
supposedly it's a chip prevention, wonder if you could...
