A good quality exhaust, decent set of springs (or coilovers if you're wealthy), remap the ecu, and decent brakes, job done.
Anything else is a waste of money really.
Sounds like you've bought a right can of worms, might be worth asking about parts cost in the Engine/Gearbox/Running gear section.
If your going to get it sorted i'd recommend becoming a member, then you can access the traders section, they all offer discounts for members, one of the traders...
The thing is when you break one most of the money is in the engine and gearbox.
A serviced engine in good nick with new belts will go for around £800.
By the time you get the gearbox, clutch, pullys and belts sorted on top of what you paid for it,
you'll be in the rough ball park for a half...
They were right i'm afraid it's a cam belt off job, so the mechanics on here recomend a full cam belt service aswell as the dehaser pully.
I'm no grease monkey but i've read alot of post from others that have had the same problem.
If you type in 'dephaser knackered' into the search bar at...
Looks mighty impressive, this maybe a silly question but how do you get to the filter come oil change time,
does it have to come off or can you get to it by removing the grill?
I'm sure if 911 had happened while I was at Uni i'm sure i'd have been stopped all the time,
I went though a phase of shooting indutrial landscapes like power stations and large chemical works.
However the industry's sapped all the fun out of photography for me, so I don't touch my camera...
Saw a black 182 at the Central six roundabout, next to the Rocket pub at 4:25pm.
I doubt i'll get a responce to this as none of my spotted threads ever do,
i'm starting to think apart from Curley, Scotty172cup & me, no one else in Cov is a bloody member!
When I lived in Nottingham I had a mate that got his 182cup tinted, that was the car that made me want to get a RS Clio.
They were totally illegal on the front and for some bizzare reason he never got pulled, :S
and Notts traffic Police aren't know for their happy go lucky nature.
I'll let you...
Cheers mate that would be cool, and your right I just want some better speakers and a bit more bass,
tbh it's clarity of sound at a higher volume I want, as I might get a sub at a later date for more of a kick, but nothing chavtastic.
A straight speaker swap sounds right up my street!
Ah right, they sound like a good idea then, tbh for £50quid I might give them a go.
I'll have to pay someone to fit all of that though, or i'll probably end up frying the car........and myself.
I get there are 2 speakers, 2 tweaters but what are those square things?
I know these are total newb questions, but as ive said before I don't have the first clue.
I even resorted to standing in Halfords today and staring at their wall of speakers.........it didn't help. LOL
As soon as I find some speakers that look good for the money, I find a thread one here saying they're sh*t.
Also I wouldn't have the first clue about how to fit any of it, do...
I wonder why the Kenwood one is more expensive for lower wattage, paying for the name?
I literally have no clue about car speakers whatsoever, other than the clio has 13cm speakers.
^^How much is that?
I'm in the same boat as you, I want better speakers and some more bass,
but I don't want to spend a fortune, carry around loads of weight in the boot or rattle my fillings out.
All the threads i've read have just confused me more.:S
