I need a bit of advice on re-spraying my 172 alloys.
There not in the best nick, there curbed and the surface is blistering in
places, I don't need them to look like a show car and I don't want to
spend a week having a detailing w*nk over them, I just want to spray
them a different colour...
WTF! I have no idea how a picture of a defender turned into a Corvette.:S
But this was the original picture....lets see if this turns into another car.
There slow, unstable on normal roads, expensive to run, agricultural with no comfort of any kind
unless you but a modern one that'll cost a fortune.
But there still cool as f*ck!
I've got GCSEs, A-Levels and a BA Hons in photography and none of them prepared me for trying to make a living out of photography,
i've met amatuers with far more technical knowlegde than me but no natural talent, and i've met professionals that know very little but make a bloody fortune...
The JMS induction setup is the V6 airbox, ive got one it's pretty good.
Although there's nothing wrong with the standard setup and a Pipercross/K-tec panel filter (there both the same)
Theres also the 172 ph1 airbox it has two smaller intakes over the one large one on the V6.
I diddn't, I just jacked the car up as high as I could, some peolpe jack it up over a curb or a step to
get extra room, you just need it high enough to get a srewdriver or drill under it.
Those screws are fine mate.
When fitting mine I drilled holes in the splitter through most of the tabs, lined the middle tab up with the middle of the bumper
and drilled into the bumper with a drill bit slightly smaller than the screws, then screwed it in.
Just repeat this till your done then...
They charge a fortune to do anything, although they make a nice set of Williams replica wheels.
Best thing to do is get quotes from them and then get quotes from other tuners and
the others will allways be cheeper.
I went there twice for quotes once for me and once with a mate that had an...
I think it's the best aftermarket grill ive seen, way better than the steel one k-tec sell.
The standard one looks good but so does that one, it's personal taste.
Although i'd be a bit worried if it lets less air into engine bay, cooling and all that,
and you were right about those wheels.
Thank god I saw this vid! (55secs)
I was thinking what it would look like as a carbon wrap, with a Carbon bonnet as I thought it might look good.
I was wrong!
Looks fcuking terrible.
Reminds me of something
Cool as Fcuk!
Call me a child, but ever since Mad Max i've allways wanted a car with a huge Supercharged engine
sticking out of the bonnet!
Won't be able to see where your going but nevermind.
Brutal!
As above, grey/anthrasite 5 spoke 172 wheels on an ph2 iceburg if possible.
I know it's been asked before but i've been searching for pics but only found a few,
and not many of them say which paint they used.
I'm just going to use a rattle can as there not in the best nick,
so pics and...
It's coming from the left frount when I give the wheel a yank to the right,
it only does it sometimes when turning right.
(Rear discs/bearings were replaced a year ago)
I think it might be a wheel bearing but the searches i've done talk about
a humming noise but I have a sqeeking noise...
WOW!:S
Thats the most effort i've ever seen anyone put into de-badge a 172,
I just pulled from the top and poured auto glym tar remover behind it, came off well easy,
then wiped it over with more tar remover job done, took me about 3 minutes.
