definitely blue smoke?
my new one was down on power and giving out s**t loads of black smoke on full throttle, was a coked up EGR valve had blocked the inlet pipe with all the black slude of the day meaning it was getting starved of air.
my old standard 200 was neck and neck with a VXR nurb from 0- well into triple figures, nothing in it at all, one minute the clio was pulling the next minute the corsa
only difference ive found with 200 vs 172/182 is the mk2 you can short shift at say 6k and still make plenty progress, the 200...
because Tuning boxes just ramp up fuel pressure and massively reduce the life of the high pressure pump!, if I wanted to do that I would rather put sand in my fuel tank, its massively cheaper
wouldn't go that far lol! day to day driving it wasn't much quicker than the GT DCI was!! only when you drove like your hair was on fire.
and where it handled better, on your typical UK backroad the GT was just as fast as it didn't skip and jump about!
but in keeping with the theme, it was...

2 different types of cars, massive massive difference in economy my GT would do 50mpg without trying where my 200 would do 25 without trying.
can you justify doubling your fuel bill, if you can go for it, If...

I...
just swap the engines over and use your current injectors, make sure you number them so they go in the new engine in the same order.
use your current pump if its working fine as you know its good
ahh that's a shame! looked a cracker in the pics too, but at that top money you expect perfect!
I gave up looking for a clean one and bought a cheap heap that was straight and went to town on it, ended up just being one thing after another and I gave up on it and sold it on, spent a whack on it...
cheers for the comments guys, not really planning anything else for it just keep it running, its cost me less than its worth so far so don't really want to put anymore cash into it, might do a DIY wheel refurb to remove the kerb marks on a few of them but that's about it really. Looking for...
so the reason the ford fiesta st is outselling the clio is purely because ford have a bigger market share?
not because they are offering the customers what they want? at a good price? with the prospect of better residuals?
