check the bottom arm to subframe bolts are tight saw that cause odd noises if they have came loose.
powerflex bushes however do creak unless you keep them greased up apparently but ive never used them
so when you press the pedal it gives you the usual ABS kick feeling/noise but as if you are on ice?
it will be a cracked ABS ring, worn brakes wouldn't cause ths
I wouldn't want one of these mapped on standard injectors. When paul @ RSTuning done my before map when the car was 100% standard it was hitting 100% injector duty above 4500rpm
even with the 172 injectors fitted and a map it was hitting 85% duty on the 172 injectors im sure!
they wouldn't know and its an issue!, we had an insurance company refuse to pay out on my sisters 1.4 16v lupo sport that got rear ended because it had all been colour coded, we had no idea it had been colour coded as I didn't know a thing about them, we had driven past a garage she liked it so...
dealers can order wolfrace wheels, you always see dealer "special editions" with wolfrace wheels sitting on forecourts.
going back to your original post though its still classed as a modification/optional extra so must be declared to the insurance company
you lowered the compression to improve valve clearance because someone couldn't time it up properly? are you planning on timing it up wrong this time too I assume?
only reason I ask is in the corner of my garage ive got a set of 172 arms, hubs, springs and dampers lol!! just need brakes and an ARB! cant be hopped lowering the subframe though they are always a nightmare on high millers!
suspension feels past it on my dci was gonna stick a new set of dampers on it but would consider a widetrack conversion if I can do it on the cheap!
can I leave the standard DCI subframe and just fit 172/182 arms, hubs, brakes, springs and dampers and ARB?
can I remove the DCI ARB and swap it...
we tried high millage leasing on driving school cars, wasn't worth it in the end however wasn't too many major problems come hand back time they charged us for kerbed alloys and marks on the roof from the signs
this one is just mega cheap, as much as id love to wide track it and RS kit it its all about saving cash until were in the new house and keep miles off a lease car if I get something.cd player was shafted so stuck a laguna cabasse in it that I had lying about
my 100 lasted 2 days before it was mapped and then about 6 months before it shredded its clutch!! no tuning this time! maby a few RS touches but no power chasing!
Sold the twingo on as I didn't like having so much money tied up in it, looking to get a lease car but still sitting on the fence on one so needed a runabout asap, didn't want to spend over a grand so went to look at a local DCI that was advertised
Advert was brief, just said clio DCI...
ive never had a 197 but ive had some quick ph1 and ph2's and never felt any issues with my 200, if anything it was quicker! do you have an aftermarket exhaust? if so search for the flat spot on here and you will find out more info when running aftermarket exhausts on them
polish up headlights, find a wing mirror the same colour as your standard one, RS Grill, new rear number plate light (they are cheap on ebay and look crap when they are all faded)
