renault warranty isnt worth the paper its printed on either, or atleast the monkeys doing the work are worth less than that!, id stick a standing order into a savings account if i was you and you are worried about potential costs!
RS tuning probably, they seem to be the guys to do it when using 182 injectors.
not sure when yet, the budget tyres all round are shockingly bad, you cant use full throttle in 2nd gear in the wet they are that bad lol so no point in anymore power yet, was considering just replacing them but due...
yeah im looking forward to getting it above the 140bhp mark too!
todays job was a rubbish one, stripping the dash top to replace a blown bulb behind the heating controls, 2 bulbs delivered for £1.99 from ebay and just replaced both, job done!
yeah thats what i mean though with the new clio 4 RS coming out, imo buying a 200 now you really dont know where the market is going to go so i would be making sure i was prepaired to keep it to the end of the term incase i had to.
i had a poke about one in the flesh last week, wasnt impressed at all with it, lack of 5 pot noise for me is a massive loss, even if this one does have more power and better mpg, lucky enough im not interested in owning one lol! (id have a previous shape RS or ST though!)
yes i know you dont, ive chopped in both my pcp cars after a year because of circumstance changes but small deposit, low payments on a depreciating car can end up a problem, wasnt a problem on my GT DCi as it didnt depreciate quicker than i was paying it off, the 200 did though. leaving me with...
whats the millage limit on it and what do you plan on doing with it at the end, if you can stay under the millage and are willing to pay £3200 a year for the benefit of a new car to just hand it back at the end then its not a bad option however imo that deal is massively over priced i paid a...
no one has pushed this area due to the standard turbo not having enough puff for high rpm big power, i wouldnt imagine its designed to take much more than the standard 6250rpm never mind with an extra 50%+ more power
the last thing you want on a big heavy mk3 clio fitted with a TCE engine is a turbo that doesnt spool quickly, lets not forget that the reason Renault made the TCE engine was because the 1.2 16v doesnt pull the mk3 about very easily!, and if you fit a turbo that isnt starting to spool up till...
i didnt average anymore than 23mpg on any given week in mine, it was sub 20 most weeks and hovered around 21 on a quiet week! it was an expensive but bloddy fast 13k lol
strange, my 200 filter was no where near that dirty after 13k! suppose it just depends on the setup of the airbox/air feed etc, there was stones and leaves in the airbox too lol
i love it compaired to my heap of a 200 lol it has no rattles, clunks, exhaust is still fitted properly however we all know that wasnt down to Renault and was Arnold Clarks fault!
so far its doing 40mpg daily around town and thats not really trying, thats just nipping about, ive managed 45mpg...
imo its worth having a map on the standard car, any mods are just a bonus. Just getting a generic map from your local mobile remaping place is a waste of money but something well developed like fastchip does with the RS tuner or from one of the specialists on here that does quite a bit on them...
Received my K-Tec air filter today, poped the airbox open and threw it in, while i was at it i removed the boost pipe and cleaned the throttle body out (car was idling fine but i just like to do this whenever i service my cars to ensure they are running spot on)
tiny little throttle body...
ive just cable tied them on in the past and they have been fine for years!
depending on the age of the car its probably worth dropping the rest of the gearbox oil and changing it all.
very nice, they look better without projectors anyway, i planned to retro fit them to mine after having them + HID's on my GT but once i picked the car up i actually prefered it!
