so it looks like possibly a wastegate issue? wastegate is struggling to hold pressure, causing the turbo to fluctuate? i may be way off the mark as i said its all new to me! I know henk will do his thing here, im just curious as to whats going on as the map has been used on other twingos with...
still having a few issues with the map, henk has been brilliant so far though and should have an update for me soon. ive got all the data logs over to him.
anyone on here have any idea why its not holding boost high up the rpm? all this ecu and turbo noncense is new to me lol
will need to be...
Same issue here on Virgin 50mb, its shocking, im going to call them and tell them to downgrade me to what ever their cheapest broadband package is as im not getting the benefit of the fast package. see what they are willing to do about it
i bought my 172 at 17, it was financial suacide, if i could go back id do it all again, was worth every penny, my outgoings to my car were £700 a month and i made £840 a month after tax at the time lol i had £40 to eat per month and that was all!!
well done buddy hope you enjoy 200 ownership...
wont do it any harm as long as its warmed up. in a 1.2 you can be "thrashing it" down the country road, you will probably still be going slower than the family coming the other way that everyone is talking about in their diesel insignia.
Yeah Danny i did, only running a K03 and 182 injectors too, impressive!!
Im having issues with the RSTuner where its spitting out the dummy randomly putting the car into limp mode, logging fault codes "random multiple cylinder missfire" and "missfire detected with low fuel" so as far as i can...
and you still bought it? lol
service light on these cars dont come on when they need a service like the newer clios do and other manufacturers, they come on when the car has a fault. really needs plugged into diagnostics to find out whats causing it
my bet is...
waterpump is leaking as these engines commonly do, header tank has emptied causing air to be sucked into the coolant system, as the air goes round the system it stops blowing hot air and coolant temp guage is playing up due to this.
noise at alternator area, is it a squeek, like a...
i remember Edde on here a few years back got the tollerances for the springs from Renault and it turned out that they were that large that you could have a non cup car that was lower than a cup pack car! - worth noting
mate bought a non runner 1.2 16v clio off another mate today, had a decent Pioneer stereo in it which im looking for as the standard twingo ones are pants and make even standard clio ones sound like a Bose. I have a cabasse in the garage which is what hes looking for so we swapped!
if you stayed in ibiza they would be awesome, over here not so much, although people compair them to a car i suppose they are more a replacement for a moped? does it do doughnuts?
i was always under the impression the ribbed hose causing the air to "tumble" (sure their will be a technical term!) helps the air and fuel mix better in the lower manifold, however regardless of which one is better or worse you are never in 1 million years going to notice the difference in...
so is the RS monitor a standalone system you just need the stalk to control? not integrated with the UCH etc?
quick 3rd gear 30-70mph blast! just need 182 injectors, further map and a boost controler to help it hold boost all the way thru the rev range and it will fly as you can see it tailing...
a doddle buddy, the top "hood" bit that goes over the speedo just pulls off, then the storage tray above the steeringwheel just levers off, open the glove box and there is 2 (10mm from memory) bolts holding the airbag in, remove them and pop the airbag up just enough to lift the vents etc out...
they are usually down 10hp against their quoted PS figures for both the 172 and 182, however as mentioned there are a few freaky ones, my old 172 ran 173bhp on the same day all the 172s were running 165-170bhp and the 182s running 170-180bhp.
you usually find 182s vary more than 172's im not...
Uploaded the new map from Henk @ Fastchip today and HOLY s**t! its transformed it, the mid range torque gain is huge, i used to rev it to 5500rpm when going for it but now i never bother taking it past 4000rpm it flys through the revs!
Injectors are hitting 100% duty though and spitting out the...
