I've bought an ex demo and got the price down a bit further so it's a fair bit cheaper than brand new. I was debating between black and white and in the end I've gone solid white. I'll get the roof and spoiler wrapped black.
I'm doing a bit of a drive across Europe this summer including doing a few laps of the ring. I'm currently debating whether to take the Trophy or my big spec Mk2 Megane RS
Looks good, happy with my 220 trophy purchase though as a. I wouldn't be able to afford it, and b. Wife wouldn't like it as a daily.
Interesting to see if it makes production but I doubt it, however it would be good to see a more extreme Clio.
Done the deal. It has the Trophy seats too. All for 3k over a 200. Can't wait!
I drove the 200 about two years ago and it was good but didn't feel right to me. Tested the Trophy a couple of months ago and it left an impression. Although a 200 with springs, exhaust and remap would be similar...
I'm looking at getting a new double din HU that does everything and I'm torn between a Pioneer F970DAB and Kenwood DNX4150DAB. Same price, very similar features, Kenwood is a bit newer. The main difference is on the Bluetooth.
One has Parrot Bluetooth but I can't find any other specifications...
The only thing putting me off the cup s is tax, mpg, tyres, brakes and only 3 doors. As a daily it's not ideal for me. The Clio is cheaper to run and 5 doors makes it wife and kids friendly!
Thinking of one as a daily. Ticks the boxes of being a semi auto with usual refinements like climate, auto lights wipers etc, heated leathers, great handling and compliance, 5 doors, spacious for its segment, sounds good.
Anything inherently wrong with them? The gearbox is a Getrag unit and the...
Sorry to hear about your family. I lost my aunt and my mum, it's tough.
I'd restore it, I love old British bikes and think they're cool as...
As has been said, they're only going up in value and in a few years it might be the difference between getting a dream house or something else and...
Fitted some DS1.11 pads with 330mm bells and rotors.
Behind my 17" Alleggeritas
And fitted new discs with bearings and pads on the rear. Also painted the callipers to match the fronts.
Brakes are strong!
Looking forward to the track day next weekend.
It was a great little car and very practical too!
It got to the point where a bit of rust was starting to come through. I decided to break it and sold the shell on. I was only the second owner from new and it was never welded...
2.0 conversion, cams, manifolds, coilovers, big brakes and...
Miss my old Mk2 Fiesta...such a fun car.
Had a 195bhp 160lbft 2.0 zetec engine with ported head, newman cams, bike carbs etc. Which I then changed for a Focus Rs engine running 230bhp and 250lbft.
Other bits were Ib5 with custom ratios and quaife diff, adjustable tcas and tie rods, adjustable...
Avanti racing storm are probably the cheapest lightweight wheels that will fit, lighter and cheaper than oz ultraleggeras etc. About 4.5kg per wheel and iirc around 500-600 for a brand new set.
As for batteries. I ran thw golf cart ones and eventually they would have enough. Currently running a...
