well i went to Halfords today, not got paid yet so i cant do it yet
but i looked at some prices
Halfords was about £5.50 a litre, whereas the part synthetic version was about £8 a litre
the Castrol was about £9+ a litre i think and i wasnt even sure whether is was part synthetic or not...
cheers mate
after puttin the Silkolene engine oil in im really impressed with there stuff so id like to use it, funds are VERY low though so i might end up using somethin cheaper
lofty, do you realise that with a lot of companies, a car like yours is going to be CHEAPER to insure fully comp than it is TPFT
try it online, u might be surprised
can this ever be changed on an RT ?
or do you just have to top it up
also if i want to top up what do i use, somethin from Halfords preferably cos tryin to track down Elf stuff is really hard
well i do a lot of motorway journies, i dont really do much racin on there though
but surely an airbox setup with forced air induction it going to be better than any induction kit at anythin over 30mph
where can i get some mesh, preferably cheap, and very bright
o, and it cant rust either
must be diamond pattern
i know Ripspeed now do it but its fairly expensive for what it is and i dont have a local one yet
the thing with a foam one would be that the surface area would be dramatically reduced against even the standard paper element
i know there better than cotton for filtration, but maybe cotton would be the better choice for a replacement element
im considering going back to the original air box, but with 2 proper cold air feeds and a performace replacement element
what do you all think is the best replacement element to go for
i still cant choose between cotton and foam nevermind the brands
p.s. its a 1.4RT
i currently have...
i do have a gap under my headlight
its only about 1-2cm though
would it be possible to form some kind of thing to fit in there and channel the air into a pipe
maybe use fibreglass somehow, anyone any experience with moulding stuff like this ?
