Nope. 140bhp in the Megane, like my earlier post to get close to 172 power you need pistons and manifolds.
I think K4M engines are roughly the same (1.6 16v) although some of the newer ones have VVT
Depends on the Megane engine as it had a few 2.0 16vs fitted. None of them are the same as the 172 but they did have a variant of the F4 engine fitted. Pistons, inlet and exhaust I think are the main differences between it and the 172 / 182 engine.
The colours are different, phase 1's are blue but I believe the mounting points are the same.
Phase 2's are black and I think (but could be wrong) the cards from a Trophy are also slightly different.
Can be done. Parts can be bought from Renault for less than that so if he got a great deal on labour...

No. You need a dash top from a Clio with the same dash as yours, so any mk2 ph2.
If you didnt have any dash at all (like Chrispy and others) then you could use the mk1 dash top.

Big City Tyres in the centre of town will do it. They're a Powerflow dealer but dont let that put you off. They've done a few things for me and always been fine
