my 188bhp 172 pulled just over a cars length on a 182 that was bang on side by side with me from 40 to 100, its not exactly a massive gain but he was one of these guys that beleived all the marketing hype that a 182 would blow a 172 away so was quite funny!
for the mods you have 10-15bhp is what id expect, thats what i got for similar mods. - uprated spark plugs are probably not helping, get them back to standard asap.
on the road you wont notice 10-15bhp a great deal, a simple thing such as a bad start or missed gear will soon wipe off that...
remap transforms the 100!! i couldnt beleive it having been used to n/a cars and spending £1500 for 15bhp and then suddenly getting 25-30bhp and 40lbft for £250!!
correct the 197 is old news, as will be the 200 soon enough, then then its replacement soon after that. its progress. it happens, doesnt make the old one a bad car just the new ones are a different level.
trophy are old news these days, the game has moved on. if he was going to downgrade his 197 for a trophy then he would be as well saving his cash and getting a ph1 - best of the clio 2 bunch!
keep looking! mine was mint, i was £1500 short on what i needed for the GT so punted my old dci100 for £1500!! lol it was easily worth 3500 too!!!! my mate bought it off me, put 20k on it and traded it in and got his £1500 back lol
on the subject of DCi's my mates back discs had seized on the...
its not worth buying a 65 if you want the power, its too much hastle to convert, to go to 80 spec you need the intercooler (£100 mark if you can find one, thats IF!) turbos are fairly similar, you could get away with running your standard 65 one, but you would need 80 injectors (80 and 100 run...
you will never get the answer your looking for on here buddy, if you can afford it then id take a test drive see what you think, ive never driven a 200 but they are the "next step up" from a 197, going from driving a standard 172 vs a standard 182 ff, i personally felt they were an upgrade that...
buying new doesnt work out worth whilte, lets all buy a £1000 williams and keep the £14000 for anything that breaks. - no thanks.
brand new all the way, my current runabout is my first ever brand new car and ill be replacing it yearly now with another new one, i love the hastle free, piece of...
not bad, i was offered same spec car but in white with white speedlines, full leather, 10k on the clock 1yr old for £20,000 YES TWENTY THOUSAND POUNDS! and not even a bargaining was offered when i laughed at the price, i was ready to put a deposit down on the thing that day if it was a good price!
everything will need to be custom really nothing out there for these smaller engines (for good reason i suppose) standard cam reprofiled will probably be the best bet
yeah pretty much a 200 version of the R27 i think, comes loaded with options and some stickers, think it saves you cash if you were planning on speccing up a 200 in the first place though
on a 172 they dont come thru the boot floor, im pretty sure they are threaded into the beam above the mount, sounds like one has snapped in the past (pretty common) and been drilled out and re fitted with a nut and bolt, you should be able to feel if its got a bolt on it?
