What's with everyone's shocking language recently!? I think I've seen the word 'c**t' used about 10 times in the last few days, can people please cut it out!?!
Sorry, back to thread...
Well that's my thought process, once I shell out for it then I have it for a good 5-10 years (depending how technology advances) and will be usefull wherever I am, not just when I fancy taking arty-farty pics...
Ah yeah, might do. Still impressive figures, got to feel a bit sorry for the stands with just one car on them, will have to be something special to attract attention!
Well, no, it wasn't just the fact that I was using a sponge, but grit was getting trapped between the sponge and clearcoat every time I washed the car, building up the swirls. When I changed to a mitt and polished the car, I found a lot less swirls were forming, because the grit wasn't getting...
I'm considering getting an SLR camera soon and getting back into photography a little bit, nothing serious though.
Just wondering what everyone recommends... I don't even know my price bracket yet, so what do people suggest for £100, £200, £300, £400, etc?
There's been a few posts from people who've polished up the complete plenum / manifold on here, and it looks painstakingly great....
I'm wondering how long it would take to just do the 'RenaultSport' part, ie easily accessible and look cool against the matt steel. Being such a small area...
In terms of swirl marks, a sponge will make a difference... I noticed a huge difference on my old Petrol Blue Fiesta.
I think my spec list for FCS is currently going:
Wash (2 buckets, wash mitt and probably Meg Gold Class).
Doesn't need claying, but might do the front and lower sides...
Dry...

How often is Alex on here? Just wondering because I emailed him yesterday morning but haven't had a reply as of yet. It's an order I want to get through asap so...
I did read that people are allowed to wash their cars using dishwater or bathwater.... so you'll be alright Rich, just take out the odd teabag and potato peel left in the sink!
I'm hoping for a decent bit of rain now anyway, so it's more likely to be decent next week, the ban itself doesn't...
 I know...
It's because the backbox is still mounted in the same place as standard on the 172, so there is a pipe going from there right across the rear bumper to both exit pipes, the weight just makes it sag.
I tried to get it straightened, but because of the stupid rubbers Renault use...
Before I bought the car, the previous owner had the 182 bumper fitted and got the backbox to match made up. But when the backbox was originally settling, it was resting against the right-hand cut out and the heat burnt the hole there.
I'm not sure if he fitted the surrounds afterwards, but...
As above, I'd imagine you just tell a potential new insurer you have X years NCB. they ask for proof so you send them the piece of paper saying "Mr Smith has X years NCB"...
Took it to The Plastic Surgeon in Marsh Barton, very impressive outift compared to a lot of bodyshops / garages in the area. Much friendlier and more organised.
Probably cost me more than it needed to, but my mum's had some work done there recently and their work really is top quality. One...
I've gone with a 10month accel from Admiral, as it means that I'll have my 4 years and can start protecting it with some companies. I've heard that some insurance co's don't accept the 10month accelerator, but I'll deal with that when I come to that hurdle.
After having a bit of a look around, it seems it might work better having the NXT wax first as it seems to contain glazing oils as well, then something like EX-P and then P21s over the top... that sound about right?
Just going to order some bits and pieces from Serious Performance, to try some new, better, products than my trusty old NXT wax!
What do people think to:
P21s Concours Look Carnauba Paste Wax.
Clearkote Quik-Shine.
Poorboy's Spray and Wipe Quick Detailer, for shows, etc when a full wash...
