Hmm, I wouldn't say slow. It's no sports car but it's not a slow hatchback.
Proud? Not really, although I think it's the first car I've ever owned that I set out to buy a long time before I actually do, so I am pleased I own one.
For those that know the car at all, I've had a nagging hole beside one of the exhaust cut-outs since I bought her in September. I got it sorted out today and am really pleased with the results.

I'd have thought clay with lots of lube and then a little bit of wax just to polish out the washed lines should do it mate, as long as the rest of the car isn't dirty.
My girlf has recently passed her test and is now driving the 172 and it certainly feels quicker in the passenger seat. I think it's because you're not expecting the forces when they come under hard acceleration/breaking so they take you by surprise and throw you around a bit, and she hasn't even...
Anyone got any shots of their Ph1 172 on Eibach Prolines, preferably before and after?
I know it doesn't lower the car by much but I just want to see whether it evens up the front and rear a bit and how the wheels sit in the arches.
Cheers. :)
I've done that loads of times to drivers who get up my ass, I wouldn't call it provoking, I'd just say it's the easiest way to tell them to back off a bit or overtake. As above, people like those here didn't really need provoking, even if you'd carried on as normal, he would've wanted to start a...
Would look better with tyre dressing ;)
Gutted to hear the weather didn't hold out, the parts you did look very good though, looks almost strange seeing an old blue without swirls! Any plans to finish before FCS?
I picked up the k750 instead as I couldn't be bothered to wait anymore and got bored of the N series styling and am very impressed with the quality of the camera. It's only 2mp, but that's not all that's important when it comes to picture quality.
Sony have a much greater knowledge and...
Yeah mine's all sorted, but too many days for birds to s**t on it and raindrops to form and tree sap to settle and brake dust to cake on and flies to get stuck...
So, you feel guilty for the potential damage to the car, right? :) I haven't touched my intake pipe since I bought the car, but I'm worried what I'll find in there!
And 2pm start at Rich's... big mistake, you'll miss out on lunch! ;) Reckon you'll be really impressed by the work though, that...
I was just about to post that you at least at some good news that it would be an open and shut claim, and then I read that! Unbelieveable!
Hope you don't get screwed over like so many people seem to nowadays...
I was always under the impression that the amount of suds doesn't really matter. It's all about how those suds glide the dirt away from the paint? I picked up a Microfibre wash mit recently but prefer using it just like a sponge, my hand doesn't stay in place inside!
Yeah, it's in the corners where mine's stuck as well Middo. Might give Wonder Wheels a go before FCS just to see if it will shift it...
I was scrubbing so hard with the remains of my wheel brush/scrubber thing that I was scratching the alloy and had to get my polish out! My fingers are also...
Very nice, I think you'll find, like I'm finding out, that it is simply impossble to keep the car looking like that for 2 weeks though!
Mine's been cleaned about one and a half times since last Sunday! Ooh, and I'm getting my bumper hole fixed on Monday!
Yeah, if your foot's on the clutch and it's lurching then probably a problem somewhere with the clutch, unless your engine mounts are completely shot and it's the engine moving around that's making the car lurch!
