How odd, Obviously something is definitely wrong there with the metal bits floating but strange how you've had no symptoms. But at least you found out this way. Are you getting a clutch release bearing fitted too? Makes sense while its all out and doing a clutch change.

Yes i did and have done again on my current RB. Yes they are secure. A lot of cars run a stud/mut conversion as standard. You don't need spacers but you would need to do some research onto what sizes you'd need as the fronts will be longer than the rears. I have 16mm front spacers and 5m rear...

I do insurance and tax in one hit so I wasnt thinking of those. I was just trying to get an idea on how much fuel it costs during your week over your miles. I think I do £30ish a week doing 200 miles approx. Just wandered what a boasted one in daily use would cost as a comparison.

No problems whatsoever. I honestly can't see why people would be worried these. I use mine in all weathers and never had an issue. Certainly not one that I remember badly.
