every girl i know thinks mine is cute, that makes them girly, however mine has a big dirty mans engine, its pretty much like a gorgeous lady boy with a big smelly knob
lol at all the people saying you will kill yourself in the clio 182 SUPER CAR!!! maby if it was a 320bhp turbo rear wheel drive car you would kill yourself, you would need to be a mongo to crash something as predictable as a clio!
i had my 172 when i was just about to turn 18, cost me a bomb...
thats the best setup you can do above ^ again ideally with a ph1/v6 airbox on it as its better.
the bit ive circled red acts as a cold air duct when the grille is all fitted in place taking loads of cold air to the battery area as thats where the standard setup takes its cool air from so...
they are very lumpy on idle and the exhaust splutters on idle especially when cold but they always do it even when warm. however you shouldnt really feel the car vibrate a great deal at all unless you have uprated engine mounts assuming the engines running ok so my guess would be as above check...
mate wants me to make him up an air filter relocation to the battery for his 1.2 16v its a 2005 so newer style engine, im ordering up the bits and pieces the now just need to know the diameter of the TB so i can order a silicon bend for it :)
cheers
to convert a diesel to a petrol is really not worth it with the ammount of work required, thats before we get to the fact its a better engine your removing!!
now, for MUCH less hastle and money you could buy the dci65 van, use a set of dci 80/100 (same on both) injectors, DCi 100 Turbo, DCi...
hi keith, msn me if you need any help with it.
whats the millage on it and when was it serviced?
not using the proper NGK plugs in it can cause all sorts of problems with these cars, the genuine recomended renault plugs are around £15 per plug from renault and i beleive they are around 72k...
have you ever used R888's on the road? what car? ive found them better than any tyre ive tried on the road (ive never used them on track however) but in 195/15" i found the grip phenominal.
as for brakes yes agreed improved pedal feel is nice but again as is the extra power of matched inlets...
i will live in spain one day!! they are big fans of DCi Clios over there!!
car looks nice mate, looks in very good condition thanks to the better weather!
yep only engine mod id do if i was going for it again, possibly matched inlets again as i got a good gain from them but once you start you cant stop so on a budget if i was to get another as a bit of cheap fun the 182 manifold is the only mod id do. i gained 18bhp and 15lb/ft of torque from ITG...
i wouldnt do 10 mods if i was to buy another 172 but this is how my list would go
1. 182 manifold
2. k-tec decat/link pipe
3. remap
4. eibach sportlines
5. Toyo R888's
no need for uprated brakes on the road when running standard/ish power, genuine brakes and regular fluid is fine, standard...
remember make sure there is no boost leaks other than the one you have found i knew a guy in a simmilar situation found a boost leak, sorted it and was still not holding boost so bought a new turbo and gave it to me to fit and i found boost leak 2!! lol
182 manifold and decat (big gains dont listen to the haters who dont have the knowledge to fit one so slate it as not worth it ;))
matched inlets
itg filter
ktec stealth
thats where the gains are, tried and tested ;)
as said above their are batches that didnt have it but most of them come from the factory like that. i would agree there is power to be had from removing the dent, if you would notice the gain or not however is debatable!
