was that question to me or the OP? if it was to me not really car cost £1500 to buy, probably about £5/600 mods taking total cost to just over £2000 then ive still got 70mpg, 120+bhp and probably about 200lb/ft of torque lol
i can lol, trying to take a 8yr old 150k mile car apart, everything will be rusted on haha ahh well means i can give the front end a wee overhall while im at it!
holy s**t so many different answers there lol here we go.......
MK2 ph1
MK2 ph2
MK2 Ph3
MK2 ph4 (aka Campus)
The differences....
MK2 ph1 was the original MK2 then in 2001 they brought out the ph2, full different interior, different front end, different side strips, wheels, rear...
its sitting outside my birds house at the moment but hopefully ill get it towed on tuesday if my mate moves his ass and ill start to strip it on tuesday maby!! plenty pics and a thread dont worry!
i got that, had to go to tesco didnt realise there was a cruise on, on my way into the carpark the white hats had set up camp and a stupid bird on a power trip points at my wheel and screams bauld tyre as her male white hat friend flags me in to check my tyres. i was kindly aloud to carry on to...
bit of exhaust pipe slightly bigger than your current pipe, slide the backbox and centre section in the new bit of pipe and clamp, can make a sleve with a hacksaw and 5 minz digging in quickfits skip
very interested in the clutch side of things, my flywheel has gone so about to strip the box off and do the clutch while im at it, want an uprated one so i can get it mapped to run some mega torque!
V Power, always have done in all my clios apart from the dci dont use V Power diesel in the dci as 1 its a shed and 2 it runs like a pile of shite with it!?
i dont care if it does or doesnt make a difference, i spend extra buying the best tyres, best oil, best brakes, best suspension, best...
no problem mate.
dci100 apparently doesnt have the best gearbox BUT ive never driven one so thats just what ive read on here. its pretty similar to the dci 80 but has a better intercooler, slightly different turbo and i beleive it may have slightly different injectors but not 100% on that.
i...
dont know if they are the same but i just nailed one on the dci on a hard launch, still waiting on it getting towed to mine by my mate so i can get it apart and see the damage
cost a bit but basically you need...
bonnet
bumper
grille
lights
slam pannel
bonnet catche
wings
by the time uve bought all that and painted it you would be as well just selling up and buying a ph2
i tried to look into it too when my car was off the road in winter but again no one seemed to use them so looks like you might be the guinny pig!
as you probably know they have their pros and cons and if its fast road/light track work then you'll be fine as long as you dont go too light!
no problem with the boxes if you behave with them, my 172 takes hard abuse every day and has been fine for 2 years running 190bhp+
when i was a harsh 17yr old i trashed a 1.2 box! but it was on 140k!!
personally high millage 1.5dci like mine, £350 remap for 100bhp and more torque than a 172.
£35 a year road tax
£300 a year insurance (19 2yrs ncb)
70mpg all day long if u behave! over 50 if you dont!
beutiful sounding car as standard, awesome car to drive too feels like it was designed to be a hot hatch rather than the 172 that feels like a normal clio has been converted to a hot hatch, LSD, short throw gearbox, proper driving position, small steering wheel its awesome, clios quicker though lol
2003 172 bought on 21k now on 48k 2 years later...
1.driveshaft gone
1a driveshaft replaced!
2. Handbrake Cables (yes both within a week) snapped causing mot fail
2a renault had none and couldnt get any for 2 months, no scrappys had them, motor factors said they had them in stock but any...
Re: Opinions on the clio of turinis
would be anthracite for me but imo turinis are getting old now, would be standard wheels in anthracite if i was you
have a look into a 1.6 16v box im not sure what the ratios are but i do know it fits! its apparently slightly weaker though not sure on the differences of the 2, or you can use a 1.2 box! lol
ive found genuine leads to be a slightly better fit at the spark plug end but they drive the same as really the only benefit is, as ben is looking for, the pretty colour.
who knows tho might make make a difference on a highly tuned car such as this ITB clio
civic sounds amazing for a standard car, he had an exhaust on it for a bit which sounded mental but didnt give a power gain and was a bit annoying so went back to standard, but standard system sounds amazing when warm.
