black one i dont own anymore, red dci is my daily bus cost me penuts, silver 172 is a complete minter that cost me over 7k just over a year ago but im still paying for that lol!!

coilpack would be the first thing id try, around £60 new from memory. check the wiring on the back of the engine (its where the ECU is located) it can rub and brake the wires killing the loom.

cambelt if using genuine parts maby £120 not 100% its easy to do on them. aux belt is piss easy only costs a couple of quid to buy.

happens to me every night i thought it would stop when i got the dci for the winter but nope, i never knew 65bhp could be so fun!

as said take an adult i strolled into a toyota dealership with my dad to look at a 172 when i had just turned 18, looked at it for 5 mins talking to the salesman, he gave me the keys and put trade plates on it let me take it out MYSELF! 30 min test drive later i was signing the dotted line...

makes my decated k-tec sound so civilised!

i bought this to run about in while i finished my 172 "project" now im spending more on this than the 172!! lol got greenstuff pads, standard disks and new fluid for it now lol

na mate was a few years back, i posted a thread at the time but it was on the old forum not sure if you can still get them? custom made HKS filter was awesome lol

Re: got a f**k off front mount for the dci whats next?!! that suits me perfectly for motorway driving :) gearbox isnt an issue for me, my 172 box is taking 200bhp/150lbft and thats hard driving, dci hardly gets abused just want the power when i need it!

non sport box which afaik externally is identical to an RS box BUT this was on a non sport with only 3 engine mounts, not 4 like the RS has, so granted this much damage may not be caused BUT i wouldnt be taking the chance again. standard lower mount isnt that bad anyway, most of the excessive...

i cut my airbox in half, removed all the insides (its split into 2 chambers) so opened it into 1 big box, cut the hole that all the air comes in a bit bigger so it could flow more air and glued it together, fitted an HKS pannel filter and used a bigger cold air feed, it was the best setup ive...

boxes are cheap lol if it goes ill change it for a 172 one

aux belt is only a couple of quid and its simple to change nothing like the F4R i wouldnt even bother getting them to change it just do it yourself have a look in the engine bay ull see how easy it is! canny mind what i payed for the waterpump wasnt too expensive

im using Castrol EPX, not had a shot of the car with it in yet but it came highly recomended when i looked into it, cheap too!

nope more than one, i ripped one clean out the gearbox as well as ripping the exhaust manifold off and bursting the flexi on the cat....... i just change the lower one once a year or so now with a genuine one for the sake of £30
