aye k-tec decat pipe, new manifold to cat fitting too.
doesnt matter looks like its lying under the car on axel stands in the pissing rain, its all good
aye be quite happy with 3 or 4 bhp man, that + my k-tec exhaust and RS tuner map should give me a touch over 180bhp or there about (kepping...
changing my manifolds over this week, now ive read the guide about droping the subframe etc which isnt a problem but after having a look it looks as if it would be possible to do it from the engine by after the inlet manifold was removed? or am i hoping for a bit to much!? lol
Progrip Bonybridge without a doubt!
John is a top guy, done all my clios including setting up my old coilovers. full lazer alignment using some fancy big machine lol you get a full printout showing you your setup and what hes changed etc.
all for £40+ vat or there abouts
Pro Grip 8 Canal...
cut the airbox open, cut out the seperator between the 2 chambers so its just 1 big chamber, chop out the square bits inside (bits that look like an RS front grill!!) seal it back together, sounded mental too!! lol ill find the video of it before the exhaust went on 2 seconds
there is a duct behind teh grill that directs cold air right to this cold air feed, its very efficient where it is.
on mine i had standard airbox, modified it a bit to let it draw more air, larger feed going to the same place and K&N panel filter, went well!
not done it yet but looks like a case of just unbolting the subframe and droping it, disconecting the steering rack to get it a bit lower then unbolt it and squeeze it out!
sounds easyer than it really is probably! haha
i can feel it when coming off throttle, the engines moving, gearsticks moving too, cars not driving smoothly when slow in traffic in first gear.
when the cars cold its really lumpy to drive, i know the cars are pretty crap when cold but this is worse than it used to be! it feels like when my...
not a fan of the ek9, dont know if my mates is a duff one but its not as quick as my 172, although i suppose it does weigh a wee bit more with around the same power (they 180 odd bhp?)
ive got brembo max and greenstuff pads on my 172, they are brilliant for normal/light fast road use as you get basically no brake dust.
but they fade to quick for my liking after only a few times using them, ill probably go for DS2500 next time, be keeping the brembo max disks tho their fine.
mk2 clios handle pants on just -60mm springs, you need atleat a full kit, i had an apex kit on my old one before i replaced it with FK Coilovers. handled well on that.
you will be fine with just springs if you get eibachs but to many manufacturers out there just look at springs as "shorter +...
ive got a 1.2 16v mk3 to fly about in, its awesome! after 60k miles its loosened up brilliantly, and weird thing is it has much more torque than the 1.2 16v mk2 i drive about in :S 25mph in th gear is no problem in the mk3 but not in the mk2, must be the different ratio gearbox?
non RS MK3's drive much better than non RS MK2's, much better gearbox/linkage, better engine mounts, better ride quality, better steering just feels much better, never driven a 197 so cant compair that.
not far from my house i was going to pop up and watch too!!
pretty tight isnt it! u seem to be a pretty good driver though!
looks standard suspension wise too which shows just how good it is and how there is no need for fancy coilovers!
looking at getting a runabout that i can stick all my miles on. quite fancy a mk3 Dynamique S DCi86 with xenons what sort of price can dealers do these at as the list price is something crazy like £12,500
cheers
nokia charger from your local car phone wearhouse will probably give more gains than any mod you could do to the 1.2 16v which is made of cheese.
i had a cooper S supercharger for mine just never got the time to do it lol
