I ordered some 68mm studs as i was unhappy with how far the 75mm studs poked up. New ones turned up but turned out they sent out 90mm!
So a phone call to them and they sent out the correct ones. These then got lost in the post, so another phone call and i finally got the correct ones through...

I Irchester it's a 172 engine with boost in a 182 shell. I don't think it's an overly quick one either.

We've all been there and hand on experience is the best way to learn. Plus you have a sense of achievement once it's been done DIY.
You know what James, these cars aren't worth full service from garages anymore. Don't get me wrong it's nice to have some paperwork and I wouldn't buy a car without any, but if you have all receipts for DIY stuff then I would never be put off as a buyer.

Have a look at @Austin-182 thread. He managed to get a plain book and get @LeeRS to make a sticker so that he can keep track of DIY servicing. Great idea.
