Finally bought and installed this couple days ago.... They gave me the million credits too which was odd but don't look a gift horse and all that.
Not got ripped in enough yet to see any challenging handling characteristics, mainly been in the EDC trophy tbh and it's quite chuckable really...
It's more than likely just the sliders in the carrier, can be disassembled, wire brushed clean and then lubricated and put back together.
I do this twice a year to all sliders on all four corners when I swap back and forth to the winter wheels
Engine and gearbox both original, never been opened or refurbished etc. Had plenty of wheel and suspension changes over the years, exhausts etc but the heart of the beast remains as left factory 17 years ago.... Edit...nearly 18 now

Column weld, wouldn't overly worry, if the weld breaks, it'll just go back to sloppy steering but ideally it does want doing a bit better. Column can be removed with subframe still on the car...
I don't think I have, it wasn't running for the first laps unfortunately.

That was kind of my thinking, remove recaros and b14's and pull about 5k total ish ..... But just weighing up if in my head that's enough to part with it and not sure it is
This is very hypothetical but may be selling up some of my scrap, and the obvious choice to free some cash up is the oddy....
So key points are:
160k miles, belts and pretty extensive engine refresh with clutch, fluids, Aircon recommission etc etc about 2 years ago
