I'm running Hankook RS2's some gimp told me these were budget rubbish, how wrong he was:D
No one tyre will suit all as driving styles vary so much, some are easy on tyres other abuse them.
Some muppets have no knowledge of tyre pressure effects & hence may have the best tyres over inflated &...
You need Inferno or Jon R to answer that as i've only done 600/700 miles so far.
Took a good few miles to get the glaze off the tyres but now things are fine.
Like with all track/road tyres there are compromises as in ride is lot firmer due to very stiff side walls & road noise is slightly...
I'm running these as 888's in 17 are outragous.
2 yrs ago when i was running 888's they were the new thing, i believe there are as good if not better tyres that get overlooked.
Hence my choice of Hankook Rs2's, very very good.
Anything other than dry look out for ditches :quiet:
Track/Road similar to R888's but lots cheaper in 17's.
Not got the 100% outright grip of the 888's but will trade that for better wear rates & wet weather.
Jon R has used these as has Inferno.
I was looking at the tyre tests & other forums & they were highly recommended.
Continental after...
Right, pressures are now 32f 30r.
I took the contis off at 1600m & was wondering if i'd done the right thing.
In the recent wet weather you have to adjust your speed accordingly but they are as good as anything that i've tried, if not better.
Yoko prada spec 2 & conti 3's so far.
In the dry...
Washed the motor as normal, noticed tiny yellow lumps here & there.
Turns out it's pollen or similar from trees etc
Whats best for removing it, it's stuck to the collinites well:o
You try mentioning trackdays & see how before the line goes dead;)
Thats why i'm with Greenlight, could take another £150/175 off my premium if i went with one of the big 5:o
Thats why i asked about the rumble strip sound, my trophy on 888's when dirty used to make a loud whiring sound like doing 100mph in an old land rover.
Just the old rubber stuck to tyres;)
I like your maths;)
Tyres are used, wheels are brand new in boxes.
