yeah tyres can be easily as heavy as the wheel, usually heavier
my slicks weigh 6.3kg each and the wheel they are on are 4.9kg and the slicks are pretty light tyres
R888's, NS2-R's etc weigh a fair amount too
Not weighed the 2118 I don't think or if I have can't find it. I'll weigh one tomorrow, they're currently fitted with r888r tyres which I think won't help as they weigh a bit
I try not to think about the Williams' tbh, I broke a 1 and made about 4k from it, not too bad, I broke a 3 and made about 2.5k off it, not so good and the last 1 I had I sold for.....a grand...ffs!
@Ricardos Possibly? I can't remember when I had or sold them, probably around that time as I bought my first titanium phase 1 back then. which I sold (actually chopped up and killed iirc) my Williams to buy.......full of regret for that one looking at Williams prices now. as I would be full of...
guess its not that one he took over to france as its showing as legal on the UK tax and MOT register so it lives! which I think is great, died to let the white one live all those years ago
was reborn and is still loved and running now
not that I have a soft spot for odyssey phase 1's lol!
looks great that @Ricardos !
ironically though the MOT of the white one expired in 2013 and its SORN, the odyssey donor car appears to be in use, MOT'd and Taxed currently!
the mk2's are just starting to show it now, tbh they've done better than the mk1's think my first one was rusty as hell and had had arches done twice by the time I owned it. That was 13 years ago and the car was barely 11 years old at the time! lol!
welcome back, and great purchase, looks a lot cleaner than my odyssey! yes 116 originally for UK market, no idea how many left!
mines one of the lucky ones with minimal rust in it, i would remove your rear doorcards for a check into the sills to be safe!
coilovers and spacers get my seal of...
as above, get those service items sorted, new genuine engine mounts if the car is mainly for road blasts and occasional trackday imo
then just have a crack on track and work from there, i suspect the first thing to let you down will either be brakes or the Uniroyal's on track
i ran those last year, but they wore out so moved to the Michelin just as the winter set in. and don't get me wrong, dry and wet grip in them are great, but snow is genuinely scary
what tyres you running chap and how you finding them on the white stuff? i'm on Michelin PS3 and they are absolutely awful! zero grip even on the flat tbh. shocked me how bad they are tbh
i still can't decide if to pop the recaros in the phase 1 or the RB. i really want to retrim them to match as you mention though if they go in the phase 1, would be expensive though to match the materials and stick the renaultsport logo in etc.
has to be epic lows as well, even Renault thought...
looks a good buy, ignore @Daz. and do with it as you please.... or at least lowz, spolierz and rimz blud ;-)
however just make sure anything you do do is completely reversible so it can be put back to totally stock to keep the value in it
