yeah im deffo going for it, its already above standard power going by the other ones ive came against or drove, the onces ive had a shot of felt totaly dead before 3k revs where mine pulls ok then kicks a bit at 3k and pulls right the way to just over 6,000rpm (the others seem to die about...
your best bet is to keep your eye on ebay, i got myself a set of 13cm Pioneer Reference Series front components which were brand new and boxed for £30, cheapest online price i could find was £120, the price sticker was still on the box for £190!!
guy said he had bought them to put in a soft...
yeah its a complete c**t but the sports cat will be getting bought to fit the engine and fitted by myself and a mate so it wont be a weld in one which i think powerflow etc use?
how much did you pay for your catback + sports cat matey?
cheers
post a pic of your stickers mate and ill keep an eye out, see a lot of cups but always just look in back window for stickers, and if i dont see a sticker dont bother posting a thread usually
money isnt really an issue, it just means i need to save more for something better, since you dont get any exhausts that have been developed to get maximim performance for the 1.2 16v i just thought custom is the best way to go :)
like the idea just didnt think it would be possible but suppose anything is.
im not into the aftermarket steeringwheel look but really need one as the bus wheels killing me lol!
yeah im ready for the £500 price tag, but doesnt put me off lol
noise doesnt bother me, exhaust noise would be blocked out by my engine noise mostly, especially on a stealth system!
so ignoring noise and price what would give best gains...
standard exhaust with sports cat
cat back exhaust...
you could make it handle ok on 17s but with 15s or 16s it will accelerate faster and handle better, if its a 172/182 then 16s are probably best for you, i feel my steerings to light for wide tyres! pulls it all over the road
going to have about £250 to spend on the car next month, well end of this month so wondering whats best for performance..
Sports Cat or
Cat Back Stealth Exhausti can only afford one and both are going to cost about the same, what i want to know is what will give the biggest performance gain...
induction kit wont be as loud, or atleast thats what i found on the 1.2 16v engines, not sure about the 8v engines.
i couldnt get an induction kit that sounded loud/good enough for mine so gave up. done my airbox for performance and the noise was a bonus, couldnt beleive it when i first put my...
cheers guys, so what you all think of them, does it make it much better to drive? more like a go kart? how do you find daily driving? any bad points?
cheers
ive got the tools, money and most of the knowledge (mates for the little bits i get stuck at) to do a straight swap to another 1.2 16v engine if mine blew up but thats the last thing i want for the hastle as edde said, it will never ever go 5 mins round the corner from your house, it'll go at...
been putting off the idea of an aftermarket steeringwheel as most look out of place and people could think you were a chav for having one, but the bus wheel is anoying me more and more!!
lets see some pics of your aftermarket steeringwheels
cheers
i done it for 10 minz loved the sound, took an angle grinder to the inside of the airbox and "modified it" best of both worlds now, the noise + filter + the noise echos and sounds mental lol
cheers mate, ill check the caliper and get some copper grease on it.
so what im feeling is tramlining? its ok if im going 100% straight but if i move it slightly to the left or right the wheel starts to move a bit, its not dangerous or anything just doesnt feel as solid and planted as it did...
yeah tell me about it, on the stirling meet i was hammering it round left hand corners keeping up with the 172s but couldnt go fast at all round right hand corners because my passengers side front tyre was down at 26-27psi
yeah thought with them being lower profile and wider that was causing this, but surely 172's/182s arnt like this because my opinion is that it feels SHITE! but could it be down to mine having electric power steering?
edit: 2 rear wheels were balenced last month when they got new tyres (only...
motorsport world are in scotland and done a lot of the guys exhausts from here (including alans old dynamique)
£270 will get you a full cat-back stealth system that wont be loud untill you hammer it (but also stealth so you cant see it)
and think £230 for a normal cat back custom one where...
