Never have manners around me. I’m not worth it!
It doesn’t help that I have no idea what you look like so I wouldn’t have recognized you.
We’ll catch up on the next one babs. 👍
I had a lovely time chaps, really good catching up with all of you.
I stopped at Castle Combe on the way ho e to see a mate who has set up camp as he’s racing tomorrow - and bumped in to Tony Hunter and his beautiful wife. Hopefully see him and the TARC mob all racing tomorrow.
Sterling job...
Poor Radio reception is probably the aerial base. Easy enough to swap out.
But it looks incredible. And the way N/A hot hatches are going, it’s a solid buy imo.
Way out of my league that. Even if I finished it (as in paid someone) it would need a very big trailer and the space to store it. Of which I have neither.
A shame though, I loved where it was going.
I saw your post, thought ahhh, that’s a good enough recommendation for me… went to the shop and bought some today.
Except I didn’t buy that one, I bought a blue one, seemingly their cheaper nastier one. Ffs. My paints horrible now! 😂
Sounds like £3750 to me. But aim high, plenty of people wanting to re-live their youth and buy low owner standard cars. I think it will sell for good money.
Lanoguard smells like horse s**t and needs to be applied every 6 months.
My mate did the underneath of his Landrover and followed the instructions to the letter And it worked really well. Bit of a ball ache doing it every 6 months though.
Unfortunately gearbox repairs are a given on most French hot hatches. (X 100 for a clio!)
But once it’s done and if it’s maintained properly, it will last ages. So don’t stress too much.
Me personally, id send your current gearbox to @NorthloopCup for a complete refresh and bang a new clutch...
f**k my life that was a hard day.
All I’ve done is get it to a level that I can now give it a full valet tomorrow. Trying to tackle something as fucked as this in one hit would never work.
I’m broked.
CC just seems a platform for massively inflated shite.
Which is a shame as on the beginning, they sold some really cool and unique cars that had been meticulously maintained and cherished.
Now they’ll sell any old s**t and advertise it using long words to pad it out.
Yeah I’ve never heard of it elsewhere either. The previous owner only told me - and the fact it had done 15+ track days in his ownership - after I’d paid for it. 😂
I did manage to get the service book updated correctly by Renault so that any future owners had it in writing what had been done.
My first ever 172 was 1 year old with 10,000 miles on it when the aux belt snapped, took the cambelt out and ruined the head (Apparently).
It actually came in to the Renault Dealership I was working at for the warranty work.
I then bought it aged 4 years old with 36k on it.
Do a 1-2 warm up laps, then 2-3 fast laps, come in and check pressures. You want about 28-30psi hot.
My MRF’s are about 23/24 cold and ideally 28/29 hot. Slightly higher on the rear but that’s my personal preference.
