yep that was my thinking, its paying for its self in running costs over the 172!!
aye chic, legend garage, producing some of the quickest 172's about haha
because they map better than the 2.0 16v's.....
beef, im going to do ours when i get my hands on it, rough idle is doing my head in as is the poor mpg its doing
agreed, mine is getting new genuine dampers all round.
also DONT change the wheels! its the best bit about a ph1! ok well maby after the aluminium bonnet
performance wise its a bit slower around town, you can deffo feel the extra weight, handles much better (not that a 100 is bad!) its cumfyer, quieter, 6 speed box is awesome, when its on the motorway its probably on par with a 100 due to the extra torque these have (obviously my 100 was a...
haha yeah thats me matey! good luck finding someone with a spare set of hoses to people in the know they go for mega money, i got a full set of hoses and a dci80 intercooler from the scrappies for £20 a few years back then sold it on for £80+ when i sold the car, your best bet is find one that way
avoid england and wales and go straight to scotland ;)
what car are you taking out of curiosity, just remember up north especially in december you could end up stranded if it snows!!
hahahahahaha ok so i managed to destoy a dci clutch with 190lbft but yours is like a diamond
you are running subaru PETROL injectors from a dci fuel pump? wahahahah they would turn to dust if you tried to run that fuel pressure through them
what injectors you using, and how is the apexi controling them?
what clutch you using?
what turbo you using?
i find it hard to beleive your running so much power and only have the same amount of torque as a simple remap would give on a dci 100?
been told they have new injectors over the older engines which are much better for power and a better clutch to handle it so apparently they map extremely well, been quoted 140+ and 220lb/ft dont know if i want to do it though
