i just drive down early sunday morning get there for opening then drive back up in the afternoon, taking the diesel cant bear that journey in the 172 lol
done these for a few of the guys on cliodci.net who wanted to see how the dci 106 performs compaired to a mk2 with the extra weight but thought id post them here for anyone thats interested or considering getting one
The first video is 40-80mph in 4th gear (on a private road) usual sort of...
check for a boost leak, i had one on my old 65 and it lost performance had no turbo and used to shoot out black smoke until i sorted it. check the sensors on the C pipe going from turbo to inlet, they blow out sometimes
lol @ all the confusion here.
NO clios other than renault sport models had a sport badge under the renault badge on the boot.
there was a ph1 sport non rs it didnt have any sport badging from memory, but possibly sport badges on the bump strips cant remember.
campus sport in mk2 ph3 and...
id much rather spend my 7k on a 2yr old car than a 20+ yr old car. i love an iconic hot hatch however i wouldnt be paying £7k for something that wasnt nearly new!

i quite like it, im not into magazines really but since its so cheap im happy to support it.
what annoyed me was the fact they say that silver and orange ph1 which looked really cool was 220bhp, when clearly its probably 180 ish at best maby im just easy anoyed but even my gran knows thats not...
ive got one of these PC things everyone used to rave about a few years back, ive used it a few times but not very good with it lol no one using these anymore? any reason why?
had a few cars do this, usually caused by the battery being weak and the alternator having extra strain on it, a change of battery usually cures it. however also worth checking the tensioner on the belt
i wouldnt worry too much about it, clios constantly fail mots on snapped coil springs and cheap alternitaves are put on, a lot of them out there will be like this!
surely the speedo should work regardless of the gearbox.
the problem would only occur fitting a non speedo drive gearbox to a cup/ph1?
ph2 takes speedo from the ABS system..
