i'd do the above, set the timing right if you suspect its out before you do anything else. do not comp test it with a loose belt, don't even turn it over with a loose belt. get that sorted then investigate the compression

injectors are knackered, and its the two pots with the black sooty plugs that are at fault

the pot with the black plug, swap that injector, its fautly, it may be firing but not correctly

I've never used spring compressors on standard cup springs, just push down on the top cap with minimal force until the nut is free and undo. done.............ime! the prolines will sit very slightly lower than standard, sportlines are more comparable to cooksports in terms of ride height so I...

oh I know the reasoning chap, its just a drop in the ocean on something like a track car, I've had a short shift on the turbo for 7 years and its not that that's blowing the boxes, believe me!lol!

what an absolute mess that looks................... I love it! lol!

for track orientated cars there is a hell of a lot more strain on the box for other reasons, I don't think a short shift will make a jot of difference to the longevity of the box
