I had same issue, the main spade connector on the alternator had rusted through, it looked fine but I literally touched it and it fell apart and the wire fell off.
stripped the wire back, wrapped it round the pin and did the bolt up and then coated the lot in tiger seal and its been fine...
lets hope that if any of the complaining buggers run local businesses or work in them the darn things shut down as well as a result of reduced activity/patronage at the circuit
it all depends on how low you go as mentioned, lower the car more neg camber and more likely the tyres will catch, but with the lower offset wheels from the off you should be okay
I love superlegs
oh and I weighed mine in on works scales (accurate to few decimal places over 10kg) and they are 5.092 kg with centre cap and clio spigot in 15" fit and painted
as above, sills will be rusty or sure and will need work unless theres a comprehensive check been done to prove otherwise of evidence/proof of a well executed repair on them
apart from that its just usual car stuff, wear and tear on suspension, check engine sounds smooth, check gearbox isn't...
the federals are a happy compromise, they are harder wearing than R888 and run slightly quieter as well whilst still providing probably around 75-80% of the dry grip of R888's
both are fairly adequate in the wet, but the federals hold up better with standing water.
overall I rate the...
930 odd I reckon
my mk1 is 960 with vapour in the tank, stripped but with full cage and spare wheel still in and full dash. normal panels but poly windows
I've tried that, get some funny looks with the 50" tv and ps3 balanced on the trolley in the meat isle, not to mention you need a feck off big extension cable which is a trip hazard. damn h&s ruining my fun
one major consideration with turbo'ing a car that was never designed for it is the ongoing costs of maintenance
its not strictly comparable as mines an old car as it is so costs are high anyway, but having owned a turbo clio for 6 years now i can say the build costs are about 1/3 of the...
Re: Clio turbo out at bedford (inc following Mikes ITB car and a huge 100mph+ sideway
mikes phase 1 doesn't half shift, I mean a turbo adds something but he's clean away on the corners!
nice work though chippio, if I catch you at some point i'd like to see the diff difference and see if its...
my experience with the cooksports is they ride very similar to standards, perhaps a little stiffer but in terms of body roll not much difference, noticeable but nothing to really write home about.
ride compliance is very comparable however, there is little extra harshness to the ride to...
they go up and down in value mate, I nearly sold all my old ps stuff a while back and think FF7 alone was going for like 60-70 on the bay at the time, now its bottomed out again although not looked for a while
then I thought why the hell sell up?
I have all my old ps games, all full...
When I decided I wanted a 182 I wanted either IO,RB or LY and I wanted FF nothing else would do, I ended up with the pic of the bunch and my personal favourite RB
any other colour of 182 just looks dull imo ;)
although having said that my mark 1 is a dull grey with very dull black wheels...
FF7 all the way although 8 and 9 are superb as well
I still play 7 on my original setup, 14" tube TV, standard controller on original PS and the copy of the game I bought way back in whenever :)
the be all and end all of that game is the material system, nothing in any RPG since has come...
