POW_Clio, yeah its newer style wheels but my car isnt an older dynamique, its an expression (no fogs, spoiler or sports seats) but its got the same 1.2 16V engine.
the reason its got the dynamique wheels is because i wanted to stick to 15s and think aftermarket 15s look silly on the clio, only...
id go for 15"s just for acceleration, thats why i put 15s on mine (not that its fast to start with anyway :D) plus i was only £140 for a set of 4 Hankook tyres on mine
might look good with a set of 15" dynamique wheels like mine has, you never see anyone putting them on a MK1

right so you want to put 15" wheels on to replace the 14"?
the speedo would likely be out very very slightly but you wouldnt really notice it. you might feel a slight hit on your acceleration but again im not that sure because its only a 1" difference and a different profile.
naa it had steelys on it and then the alloys went on when i got it.
if you look sticking out my drive you can see the other clio driving school car with alloys, its 2 months old and only been curbed once, and that was a guy on his test.
the_ferret, springs and dampers sound good, ill check...
Yeah ex-driving school car so plenty miles, and some fit birds drove it too :D
how much is yours down, 60mm? ill price dampers and coil overs and see what i can afford, im still 16 for a couple of months so no rush really.
lol im the one that thinks cars look best with standard wheels but for once im gona say i like it!
dont know what it is i like about it but i just think it looks different, makes it stand out!
it looks..... different.
defo put it on coilovers, the wheels could be cool but its hard to tell from that picture. you could always put them on and decide for yourself if you have tyres on them.
cheers for the comments guys. considering mine is coming up for 220,000 miles its looking and running good :)
16vClio, even though a think yours is one of the, if not the best looking MK2s about im starting to go off the anthracite idea. (plus dont want to copy you ;), atleast you can say you...
Ok I know it’s a TOTALY different car but for people questioning Renaults reliability, my 1.2 16V has done 120,000 miles in 3 years and is absolutely sound, feels exactly the same as my mums 2 month old 1.2 16V apart from my clutch which is getting replaced soon.
i know ill likely get...
Dont worry wheels are staying, might get them done in anthracite but im not sure yet.
the bottom pic isnt working and it wont let me edit my first post for some reason so here it is

yeah i was looking at the relocation kit but i dont have a lot to spend, what about fitting a pannel filter and drilling the air box ive heard about that but can it do my engine any harm? what will the noise be like compaired to the K&N?
because like noel-pilot i also find my 1.2 16V nippy and...
it comes with a pipe to give you a cool air feed.
my mate got a Max Power one for his corsa for £20 and was just wondering if the K&N will sound any different
Anyone got a K&N 57i induction kit on a 1.2 16V clio? im thinking of ordering one tomorrow and just want to hear peoples feedback on noise, im not bothered about power gains but if i get any then that would be nice :)
anyone got any sound clips or videos with theirs?
cheers
i remember hearing a quote for £3,500 to supply, fit and turbo charge a 1.6 16V lump. not sure who it was that quoted it though, ill try and find out more
my standard speakers were impressive for standard kit once the head unit has been changed. the renault HU has a crap power output. change the head unit then the speakers or both if you can afford to!
always check it with the dipstick every so often. i didnt bother because i just used the LCD screen on the dash which always told me was full. then one day i checked my oil to find it half way BELLOW minimum!
