    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

That's the main reason why I went for the GT Track setup mate. It was a good 'halfway house' between a entry level setup and a professional bit of kit that has optional expansions including motion platforms. The latter as well you know are horrendously expensive - I think I've seen one motion...

Still impresses me that you manage to drive the car like that @SharkyUK with a mere gamepad! I'd suspect that with a proper wheel setup, you'd enjoy it a hell of a lot more.

@McGherkin - is the Shutoko Revival Project still going? I had a look into that yesterday, but it pointed me to that insidious bloatware of Discord again, so I didn't go any further. I think I'd rather install AOL Online onto my PC than that shite.

Looks great that Andy - was that against actual players or the AI? I'll have to nab that rain mod - I take it that it works with Sol? I've been having a dabble with Content Manager and it's a cracking piece of front-end software. I was a bit sceptical about paying the developer a token gesture...

    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

I can't recall if this was a standard feature of AC, or an additional one from the Content Manager. Either way, it's a bit good. :) Had a quick bash with the Alfa V6 on Monza yesterday. I'm getting used to the Variante Ascari section, but repeatedly hopeless at the Variante del Rettifilo at...

@John Gordon - did you ever get a PC sorted out for dabbling with this as it looks like you originally got AC for the PS4 on your thread?

Got various stuff downloaded now - mainly based off overall rating. Higher rated/high popularity ones I nabbed - think it's 35 in total at the minute - the majority are cars, but a couple of tracks and sounds thrown in too. Also got the licence to unlock the Content Manager for AC too - but...

This could get pricey - thankfully I'm not that bothered by F1/Indycar type cars at all. That 'should' save me some money...

    Assetto Corsa modding (PC)

At the risk of sounding blasphemous - how accurate are the AC stock models in terms of speed? I've found that I'm struggling in gaining on cars during long stretches (such as Highlands Long) with the 787B. That's not against other racing cars as such - but mere modified ones. It didn't set...

    Evo magazine, December 2003...

I remember ordering my 182 having never sat in a Clio before and at 6' 1" thinking "WTF have I just done?" £12.2k mine cost.

I think what works with button boxes though is that you can either scribble at the side of them as to what they do - or just tear off a bit of post-it note for the realism look! 😄

This is dangerous. It also led me to SimHub and button boxes, which I'm very keen on learning more about. Would love to assign random switches and buttons to something on one of these button boxes.

Do need to invest in some mods over the vanilla offerings now though.

Went a bit indulgent last week and bought myself the GT Track seat and mount - along with the TV/monitor stand. Only put it together today and could do with making some adjustments. But it is a wonderful piece of kit that sits nicely in the box room. Haven’t done any cable management or...

    RB182 running rich, no warnings

I'd suggest exactly the same. My tailpipes were proper sooty and the upstream sensor was shot. Got it replaced and all was good afterwards.

    Hello Everyone.

Welcome! Apologies for the dumb question - but the 'oval shale track' - is that some form of rally event?

    Clio 16v on pistonheads

Had mine from '98 until I sold it in 2004 when the 182 was ordered. Great for the time (in a straight line) and one of the very, very few small capacity turbo'd hatches of the era. More impressive that it was from a time where any engine force-fed was frowned upon by the insurers.

    [PC/XBone/PS4] Warframe

Got to admit. That sounds like it would be on par with controlling a Space-X launch with an abacus. However, gamepad controller integration is more mainstream these days. Playing it on an iPad and Xbox controller combo might not actually be too bad - though no substitute for K&M, imo.

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

One of those titles that I've always wanted to get into - but just never put either the time nor effort in to make it worthwhile.

    The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy

So, so glad it's back in your possession Andy, but your missus is right to call the car Christine!! It must be an affliction of red cars. A guy I know at work bought an Alfa Giulia in red - loves it to bits but it appears to have a string of unfortunate events with it, one after the other.

    has anyone else seen these...

I think there's also an extra layer to that with some cars. It seems these days that either a 1.5 or 1.6 turbo sits in a multitude of cars as the default type of engine. With the RS Clios, they came out the back-end of the era where turbos were deemed to be a swear word and in turn, dialled up...

    Satnav update

It's surprising how quickly sat-navs appear archaic. There's the constant changing of roads that requires updates for one thing, but the flexibility of them seems completely outclassed by mobiles and tablets these days. I use Google Maps when on the PC or need street-view, but the really...

    Company of Heroes 3

First impressions of CoH3 are very good. They've done a hybridised view of the Total War enlarged map, that pairs up with the battle view familiar to the CoH type of play. Graphically, it chugs a bit - but it is pre-alpha. I've maxed everything and its either not optimised well or the fact that...
