yeah im looking into squeezing a 6 speed under the bonnet lol no one has much info on the matter though
yeah its a great car not many...
the tube is just a breather.
there is a small screw plug on the front of the gearbox behind the radiator, thats your filler and your level, you fill it till it starts to drip out.
plug for draining is on the bottom of the box, same as an oil sump plug but on the gearbox. same tool to remove.
LOL yeah they are very worn in, ive got a cracking road to work every day so it gets good use!
gearbox is 10x better than any JB/JC series box ive ever used lol, takes a bit getting used to but its brilliant when you get used to it.
everyone slates the box but its a pretty rare car so...
as above yeah 172 is sold, its still in the club but i wont say whos got it ill let him anounce it himself if he wants ;)
ive not done many miles in the 172 in the last few months due to working a fair bit from home so not been out to take any vids or pics in a while!
cool, yeah it has the cool pack! im the 3rd owner and the 2nd owner aquired it october 2007, surely renault wouldnt have had it that long or would they?
noticed this on ebay for anyone in the market for one of these, bit high on the millage at over 80k but thats nothing for one of them, mine is on 75k...
ive heard some s**t on this forum but thats the best lol....
The ecu is self learning to a slight degree, ie it will learn over a period of time what fuel your using, what different levels of air its getting (obviously can be affected by air temperature/air filters etc) but this just allows it...
ive not had time to read the full thread but shite tyres shouldnt step out on you like that, its the rear dampers leaking i put £100 on it! i had it happen to me on a greezy roundabout with Eagle F1's all round
completely disagree with you there, keeping in mind i own both a dci 100 and a modified 172, the dci is a great tool for going to work it handles well but it doesnt have the power to get the speed the suspension can be used for.
the 172 will keep up with MUCH MUCH more expensive machinery...
