    Clio MK3 1.6 Dynamique S - Opinions

ive only got experiance with mk2's but we have both a 1.6 16v 110bhp Dynamique and a 1.5 DCi 100 Dynamique. the 1.6 16v is faster overall when your screaming thru the revs, but around town the 100 is quicker due to all that torque and it has much less torque than the newer dci 106's which now...

Engine Restrictions on new Clio 200!?

my car was really well looked after and never driven that quick by the first driver i assume due to brakes being factory fitted one and factory fitted tyres at 20k, when i got it it wasnt as quick as id have thought, i put 30k of hard miles on it and now it FLYYYSSS

    Does anyone Know this car?

crashed repair cars not my bag, more hastle than they are worth in my experiance, you get straight ones mega cheap these days anyway, id rather have a straight one with a snapped cambelt or something like that.

Just picked up black 182 faults steering whinning stiff clutch pulling to left

id suspect its leaked its fluid out one of the hoses, you may want to get it sorted soon before teh pump catches fire lol. other possibility is the aux belt has gone and been lucky enough not to take the cambelt with it.

    powerflow exhausts

id avoid them like the plague, yes some dealers are better than otheres but the pipework and boxes they use to start with are terrible. my mate got one on his 172 at motorsport world and the exhaust its self was solid and well made but the tailpipe had gone brown with rust after about 5/6...

    Is a DCI reliable?

ive had 2 so far the first as a cheap runabout for winter when my 172 was having a few bits done, 155,000 miles, 2001 51 plate, no service history, hammered all winter from cold, handbrake turns in the snow and ended up in a ditch, sorted it, pilled another load of miles on it, and it was bullet...

    172 Waterpump

pumps are ok on all engines apart from the 1.2 16v in my experiance, id leave it unless its on silly millage (well over 100k) or been run on horrible coolant or just water as the coolant lubes the pump.

    £510

using non genuine parts which are fine you can get the belt kit and pump for £100, id want 2hrs labour max for that so your talking £200 for the belt change max
  26. Martin_172

    £510

id be questioning that, genuine parts cost more than that never mind labour, even using gates parts thats not leaving much for labour. for a 5 hour + job plus i doubt the aux belt has been done for that, which if snaps will take your cambelt with it! EDIT: i just read what you posted and...
