^ think the problem may be due to the fact you used to own a diesel, which is more torquey and totally different power bands. I've been out in a mates 2.2 diesel civic, and it feels much fast than my 172 when he puts his foot down, but thats it, no kick no nothing. On everyday driving diesels do...
^ to be honest, will have the same rolling radious as the 16s on a 45 profile, as they have thinner tyres on a bigger alloy so wont make any difference to lowness really
my local place managed to do my old clio with no problems at all but it wasnt really mega low. but theres a couple of people round here who use the hunter laser system which clips onto the alloys so arch clearance isnt really an issue.
my old clio had to go on a couple of ramps backwards...
I sold the german lights as they didnt look right on my old car, i've actually got some ph2s sitting in my lounge but they're scratched to fook so i'm not accepting them. Def think i'm gonna colour code the sides yellow, might do the originals first, and if i dont like that i'll get some ghey...
ah right, bet that looks mint when the sun hits it then. Personally I think i would have gone for the big smooth 'extreme' bumper but thats just me lol
There are bits that would look mint, if the other bits wernt there! Love the skirts and the rear bumper/zorst. Mirrors look ok, not much for the lower splitter thing or the bonnet vent but other thank that looks good! quality of the work looks top notch anyway
Got 12 month warnty on them as well, and trust me if anything goes wrong i'll be back ;)
Carbon copy - the switch to the ph-quik was the best thing i've ever done, absolutly loving it. Its fast but totally drivable, which is what I love!
Thanks for the comments everyone!
Dark wheels arent to everyones taste, but they needed a refurb, and after numerous photoshops that looked by far the best, and personally i think they're spot on, they colour in real life when the sun hits em is gorgeous. Will look much much better when...
aye, thats what i was thinking! I thought to myself I could stick it on apex for the look, or eibachs for the drive but i know i'll just end up changing it to a good set of coilovers in a few months anyway so not a lot of point.
mods for the future are - the coilovers, yozza exhaust, some...
its still on the site william, a lad called clio_sport bought it off here, i do miss it though!
Old plate will be going on next month, as i'm saving it for a month where i cant afford to do anything else lol!
Alan - thanks for the comment :D its not exactly hard though considering theres...
colour code it is! Goodyears were from black circles, think they were around the 36 quid each, and were delivered the next day. well impressed :)
the 180 quid isnt with the tyres, its just to have them fitted with the wheel refurb lol. Now that would be cheap!
Well when I say progress, i mean a few major mods ;) Got my car back last night from the wheel refurbers, had them done in vauxhall anthracite, which is like a dark gunmetal full of flake, really really nice colour. Had them fully powdercoated, and new tyres fitted (goodyear eagles) for 180...
got to that stage, and the f**king rivets popped out of the airbox. so looks like i now need to spend another 70quid on a new airbox lol
must be a cheap maxogen somewhere
