Apart from the poxy riot shield? Few things really, can't honestly remember now it was so long ago.. Main difference? 1.6 used the HL1 engine (highly modified Quake 1 engine, for those who didn't know that ;D)

PC Gamer gave it 94% too. OXM gave it 10/10. Looks set to be game of the year. I had a cheeky peak at the beta and it's brilliant. Played the original as I was growing up, one of the best games I've ever played.
