    Argh! Linux, Samba and Windows!

In hindsight, the Ubuntu desktop would merely be another 'user', surely? A 'user' who I want to host the sharing folder. Would be the same as putting the host as Dean who sits next to me? Networking isn't something I ever got in to, preferred coding/programming although I have half a clue how...

    Argh! Linux, Samba and Windows!

I'm really confused.. I don't need to define a network location anywhere. I've set up the shared folder on Ubuntu, gone on to a Windows desktop, control panel > network > this is where all computers on network with shared folders/storage are detected. It's detecting the majority of things but...

    Argh! Linux, Samba and Windows!

Where have I put the network path is "/"? It's all done for you within Windows Network. It'll find the public computer on the network which in this case is the Ubuntu desktop.

    Argh! Linux, Samba and Windows!

Have a desktop running Ubuntu, trying to create a shared folder on there that everyone on works internet can access/modify. I created the folder on Ubuntu, right click > 'Local Network Share' It asked me to install a few bits which it did automatically etc. I went on to a Windows computer...

    Building a work sharing system.

I was going to use FreeNAS OS but it requires at least 8GB ram for the new distro. This only has 2GB ram. Don't need much storage to be honest. I was going to set up a homegroup on it but that would mean setting everyones laptop(s)/desktop(s)/tablet(s) to "Home" as the wifi group here wouldn't it?

Surrey / East Sussex member list.

I'm planning a go karting meeting shortly. Should have details by end of this month. I have a OBD reader I could bring along if you're attending and have yet to get your hands on one! Welcome mate!

    Building a work sharing system.

Bascially, we all use OneDrive at work so we can go in to the folder, update spreadsheets and everyone has it to hand. OneDrive is a little bit sh*t. We're also not interested in DropBox. We have a spare PC which we'd like to turn in to a server of some sort. How would we go about this? We...

New to this, wondering if anyone could help

Is it misfiring at all? All coil packs fine? Checked each individual spark? Provided nudes yet? Is your clutch really heavy?

    mileage almost doubled at garage!

Do they leave cars on forecourt? Go look if it's there? Alternatively depending on your working hours, go and wait outside in the morning.

    Calls to 0800

I'm with Vodafone and genuinely couldn't fault them in the slightest. Data allowance is a bit sh*t despite being "unlimited" but that's all. I've got a booster and get 6GB per month now.

    my 197 f1

Tidy mate! All personal choice, I quite like my Heko wind deflectors on my 197. Not 100% on vinyls tho.

Just picked up my 200 EDC

Looks nice mate! Really like these in white too!

    hello all

Welcome to CS David. 6000 is a little low budget for a Clio 200 mate. You'll get a tidy 197 for that price though, with the recaros, belts done etc.

    iCloud login emails

Is that link where it actually takes you? You can spoof the URL. For example, http://www.cliosport.net Click that ^^ Or does the email just say that URL?

    iCloud login emails

Occasionally they will use; drmillionairelotteryinvestmentapple@yahoo.co.uk I agree! Have to be a bit simple to fall for it though!

    iCloud login emails

It's easy to email spoof. It's the website it's taking you to that you need to check. More than likely a phishing page hosted on the back of a stolen server.

Are they really that bad? There's no chance I'm using them - double every quote I've had!

Looks like I might be taking a trip to Bristol then! Wonder how much Renault would charge! Do they even do that in their shops etc?

    Reckon this 'chip' is repairable?

It is mental. I thought shops/bodywork people would just be able to repair the area, not have to do the whole bumper. Even if it isn't 100% perfect, you know?

    Reckon this 'chip' is repairable?

£420 was ChipsAway! Managed to get it down to £330 inc. vat! They've all said; 'Silver is the hardest colour. It'll look out of place so we may need to blend the bumper etc etc which will cost more'
  27. Typhoon

    Reckon this 'chip' is repairable?

Mental! Has all the work been done now? Lowest quote to have the whole bonnet resprayed (as all companies are saying that's what will have to happen) is £420 + VAT!

Jesus! That's a whole loada dollar! I've got a list as long as my arm of mechanical repairs needing doing already.. went to put some screenwash in this morning and noticed that little gem!
