Can you remember if your battery light came on to start with?
Mine did all sorts when the alternator failed and then ran out of charge, dials all over the place, dash lit up like a christmas tree, etc etc.

Mine's done this twice to me. Once when a bottom ball joint gave up (that had no play until I removed it), and once when the rack bushes had had it.
It's an odd sensation, you turn in, the suspension loads up, and it changes the steering...
I have a pair of c5's - that went wrong after 6 months. Absolutely fantastic service to get them fixed/replaced quickly.
Faultless sound, absolutely impeccable. Where will you use them though? I don't think the P7 has much isolation, but I'm not 100%.

You should try the specialist parts team at ECP, they're the UK distributor for Bilstein (or at least, they used to be.)
But tbh, any Bilstein reseller should be able to source you the right parts.

Certainly not true on 172s. I've had mine off multiple times, I'm not even running the one the car came with. :smile:
Companies like BBA Reman can fix UCHs, look them up.
Also, I assume you've checked the basics (fuses and relays) for faults?
