Oh, to be back at Tuesday. I was in fine spirits, arriving at Snetteron with my dad for a test day. We had brought his freshly repaired and re-built Exige for a shakedown. I had also fitted a new rear wheel, spring and had the geo setup on the CSL so was keen to get it on track the next day. The...
Much preferred it all white, looked ace. I think a few years back i'd be loving the exposed CF but its just overplayed now. IMO, much cooler to have painted CF. Subtle is best!
I guess so... gearbox was still standard though, hence mullering it! Not sure about 330bhp being max though, my mate was saying (moaning) people have more than him.
Get a k-tec stealth.
I had a k-tec cat-back on my 1.2 and it was spot on, but looking back it did look a bit chavvy. I had a k-tec stealth on my 172 and it was a bit quieter and i liked that it was hidden.
My mate has K20 with recent supercharger added (370bhp), completely stripped 4th gear at Brands the other weekend!
Had problems with our k-series in the same race, currently getting rebuilt at Minisiter for 235bhp spec :D
Take it you mean the Nuburgring stickers? Was cool to have one a few years ago, but i'm afraid there are too many people - like you - who have the sticker but have never been, ruining the kudos in my eyes at least!
I've seen a few others around, you could always knock a sticker up of your local...
K-Series is ok... just that it struggles to get serious power, compression means the VHPD+ engines don't keep the power very long either. When you look at Duractecs pumping out 300bhp its easy to see why people tend to swap engines, but the K-Series is the lightest power-to-weight production...
Carbon fibre interior trim? Leave the fag mods.
Personally i think after its all done you'll think you should have spent the money elsewhere.
I'm not belitting your car here, as i had one back in the day, but don't waste your cash on something so slow... just put it in the piggy bank for your...
Thanks for the tips, is Wonderwheels just one product or is it a particular one?
If that doesn't work i'll give Barry Scott's finest a go as its under the sink!
I did a track day a couple of weeks ago and have left the car since standing on the drive. I attempted to clean the wheels with two different types of wheel cleaner, Turtle Wax and Superguard that was a foamy one.
Anywho, despite having a good go at them i still have a residue firmly stuck on...
Remember reading an article online, i think a scanning from Top Gear, where they drove the EK9 and they said it handled badly compared to the DC2 Integra. Mainly because it was far too stiff IIRC...
As Ali says i went to a few import places to look at them before i got my 172 and they weren't...
