Maybe you fuel has gone bad? Try changing stuff like plugs and HT leads or just spray everything with WD40. It's always a good idea when keeping a car off the road to start it up once a week or so. Bit late now tho :)

I would go in and speak to the manager face to face then you could sort it between you. End of the day it's only a wall and if you pay to get it fixed, Halfords as a company don't need to get involved.

Yh offer still stands mate, belts changed and dephaser for £100 ;) joking aside tho £150 for a MOT and cambelt change is questionable.

UPDATE Everything is sorted but still waiting for my excess back! Been just under 3 months.

What always worried me, on my 1.2 I had a receipt for a cambelt change and an MOT that only come to £150! I'm guessing that is kind of a low price?

Had a little search but couldn't find any. Looking for some red anodised engine cover bolts, I found some stainless steel ones but none in any colours. I don't know if this is the right place to put this and like I said I could find any information about it. Thanks

Exactly what he said. I valued my car at £900 but when I crashed it they gave me the market value of £1200. Otherwise people would over value their cars for a higher payout.

Just take it to Fred at BTM he will sort you out. Heard nothing but good things about them hence the 2 hour drive there on the 29th :) nearly all of the garages on here are good reputable garages that won't rip you off.

Mate got his 172 cup booked into BTM on the 29th for all belts and dephaser done what comes to about £475. Got the 182 booked in also ;)
