    Max Payne 3

Just finished it now - 14 hours in total. Only got 30% of the achievements, but I'm not a completionist wh0re. I think I only got all the parts for three golden guns too - but it was a very enjoyable game overall. Certainly worth the £7.49 I paid on Steam - approx 50p per hour fun. :) D.

    Max Payne 3

Really? Wow - I couldn't hit the side of a barn with a controller - not a chance. I can 'just' about get used a controller with the Batman games - but other than that, I just cannot get the controller to aim accurately enough. I guess I'd get better with practice, but it's too much of a hurdle...

    Far Cry 3

Have a look for a program called Fraps on beepa.com. I can't remember if the free version comes with the FPS overlay, but you can get any game to display its framerate with a small number in the corner of your choosing. Used Fraps for years - superb product. D.

    Max Payne 3

On Chapter 12 at the minute (I think?) and I can honestly say that I don't think I can recall a game in resent years that has been so enjoyable, yet so damn infuriating at the same time. I really don't like 3rd person at the best of times, and MP3 doesn't shake that belief of mine in anyway...

PC only - Humble Bundle - Thank me later

Good shout! Cookster - UBER-FAIL for not having CoH legit! I keep an eagle-eye on my CoH2 pre-order within the library to see if anything changes. Gonna be 2013 before anything though. Red Faction Armageddon was surprisingly good, given the average reviews it got. D.

It is m8. With all bells & whistles on, my SLi'd GTX460's barely creep out of single figures in terms of fps at 1920x1200. D.

    Oldskool internet Speeds.

28.8k was my first personal use, outside of uni. Had to pay BT £29.99 per month line rental and had a download cap with the ISP - NetComUK. Managed to get my email address starting as dpsmith@ ........ imagine trying to get that on pretty much any ISP these days. ;) D.

    Tidying up the rear badges

Only the 'Clio' badge has holes. The RenaultSport one is simply stuck on with adhesive. The latter is very easy to remove with dental floss and then (ideally) - a wash down and a going over with a PC or similar. D.

    Far Cry 3

Struggling to really see the appeal to this (admittedly, I haven't watched all of the clip) - but it certainly won't be a buy-on-release game for me. Maybe when it gets cheaper? There doesn't appear to be an malaria BS like in the previous game though - so that's a bonus! D.

    [PC/PS3/XB360] Battlefield 3 Official Thread

FLOL. Really? Jesus Christ DICE. Where's all this BS going to end? It's as COD-like without actually being COD as you can get. The unlock and achievement obsession is destroying the genre from what made it so great. Bad, bad times. :( Cater for all the 10-year-olds and everyone else can go and...

Graphics card that DOES NOT require seperate power

Yep - not really worth it m8. We use quite a few dual-headed graphics cards at work with passive cooling onboard (just the heat-sinks, no fans) - but they are simply used for Office and sales orders. Certainly not games! :) D.

    12Gb PS3.....

I would. Although the console versions of some games don't have the added textures of the PC alternative - Max Payne 3 alone was a 31GB install. Drive space and memory is so cheap these days - I would have to have some serious benefits given to me, not to upgrade. D.

Clio wont start and clicking noise...

This. Mine did exactly the same, though I managed to get a jump start to get it going. Replaced the battery within the hour (which was the original item, so 7+ years ain't too bad!) and it's been fine since. Definitely the first thing to try, imo. D.

Mass Effect 2 is superb. Worth buying ME1 though and blitzing through - just so the characters and backdrop to ME2 make more sense. Noticed that Borderlands 2 is on the sale at £14.99. Worth every single penny..... D.

Gaming PC......this any good for £881

Not wanted to really hijack, but what's a good SSD at the minute, chaps? I'd want it for the Win8 O/S and a select Steam install. Currently still using a SATA3 1TB drive and haven't popped my SSD cherry yet. D.

    [360/PS3/PC] Borderlands 2

It's definitely up there m8 - without question in my Top 3 this year. SUCH an improvement over the first game. It really does make you wonder how they could improve with Borderlands 3? Even after all this time, I still haven't tired of the Goliaths. Shooting their masks/helmets off and letting...

Gaming PC......this any good for £881

8GB is fine as most games are cross platform these days and don't take advantage of the higher headroom on both the onboard gfx memory and motherboard memory that a lot of PCs have. I've got 18GB in my PC - but only picked up the extra 12GB over the stock 6GB I had, because I got it dirt cheap...

    Depot printing?

Chaps, I thought I'd run this one by the wise-old sages of CS as I'm making a simple issue, quite complex! We currently run a Windows 2008 domain with a rough 50/50 split between Windows XP and Windows 7 clients. A good chunk of these are laptops and we're asked every now and then to setup a...

Are you 19 with a RS?

PMSL. Surely the counter-argument to those figures is that you're on the road two-and-a-half times as long. Therefore, statistically you're more likely to be involved in an accident? Even when it's not your fault. I'm sure I read somewhere in my policy that I got a £75 discount if I declared...

    A1 Quattro!

My God. For my burning hatred of 90%-everything Audi related, is there a small glimmer of potential in this car? I really do like it - something different, something that stands out rather than a smattering of f**king S-Line badges that every other four-ringed wh0re thinks is so essential. As...

Are you 19 with a RS?

As others - just hang-on in there. Believe it or not, I ordered my 182 when I was 29 and was having trouble getting a quote for it. Most insurers wouldn't touch me until I was 30 - and that was having a clean licence since passing at 17 and at that time, over 6 years NCB. I would rather pay...
