Hmmmm - Windows 8 fixed my weird vsync issue that I had on XCOM too. Strange how the latest nVidia driver I have installed is the same one for both Win7 and Win8. :)

I applaud you for that view, m8. Personally, I would still go through the insurance as there are too many unknowns here. But hat's off to you for not wanting compo for the McDonalds that fell off your passenger seat, that your pet hamster suffered trauma on his way to the vets on the back seat...
Awesome! MULLET!!!!!
FLOLOOFLFOOLFOLLOFOL @ OS/2 as well. I didn't even catch if it was OS/2 Warp - that they were giving away free on the from of magazine in circa 1994....

If only those roads were 30mins from me! :dapprove:
Love the Scottish roads - great fun and generally free of most traffic.
Don't know much about the R32's but they always sound good whenever I hear one go by. They do 'look' a heavy car. Even with that engine under the bonnet, do they feel...
If you can stretch your budget to around £130, the HP Officejet Pro 8600 is a great all-rounder....

Probably cheaper places out there than PC World too.

Not 100% sure on the way it looks yet - but I guess that will change as I use it more. No gaming issues to report as of yet, either. :) The only work-related issue we have had is that the existing Cisco VPN client we use, flatly refuses to run with it.
As we're a Windows 7 Pro house with little...
Same here. There's probably a whole range of engines that would suit the car, but none will be what it came with. I know if I was in that situation, it would have to be the Lotus lump or nothing (short of them being something daft like £50k to replace). It would be like repairing an old 911 and...
Not gone down the SSD route yet - I think I will be doing shortly.
Glad you sorted out your avatar Scone - the other was too squished and you were almost getting infraction points for it. ;)
D.
Maybe. But with the trillions of combinations of hardware that it has to support, it does a pretty good job. Windows 7, in my opinion, is pretty damned good. The range of hardware at work that we re-image it onto is very impressive.

You shower of b******s!!!!
I downloaded the demo and spent the last several minutes tear-arsing down the M62 en route to Sheffield - literally bullying traffic out of my way! I think I may need to get the G25 out again with the manual gears.
Something this boring shouldn't be this fun - but it...
Moonlight for me Colin. But as there's only ever been one - and I doubt James will be up for flogging his sole Deep Bronze at any point soon - I think the more 'common' colours are all that's realistically achievable! ;)

Not sure if many people are aware, but you can get Windows 8 Pro Upgrade, straight from the horses' mouth for £24.99....

Well, there's that too. ;)
I would much prefer some proper dismemberment going on with the undead. We need to see limbs fly - or a zombie tottering around with the fire-axe embedded in their head...

I'd love it if you could hurl abuse at the Micra/Picanto/Micra/Micra/Pug 107/Micra driver, that joins the motorway in front of you, doing exactly 48mph.
Then you get a G-O-D-L-I-K-E ABUSE achievement, if you manage to continue the torrent of obscenities for over 60secs.
This game has...
Yep - I picked that up as well. Pretty impressive, like you say. I just think it's a little OTT just how much physical damage a zombie takes from a fireman's axe!

Yeah - the main methods for fitting laptop memory (dependant on who makes it) - is to have two slots behind an access flap, underneath the laptop. The other (slightly more irritating way) is to have one free slot underneath the laptop and the other factory-fitted module, situated beneath the...
Tbh paddy - if you get the chance, I'd pickup 2x 4GB PC2-6400 SODIMMs to max out your laptop and give your 8GB in total.
You might have missed the boat in terms of memory spec vs price now. DDR2 is older memory and the prices creep up as it's becoming rarer to find. Might be worth checking eBay...
....and I never, ever use it on mine. Just don't see any real benefit. Have it set to 21C to max when it's cold, minimum and/or aircon when warm.
Put another way, if it was a paid-for option when I ordered the car - there would be no way I would have chosen it.
