wonder if it includes the HD-DVD internally too?
thats what happened to my housemate although his was the vga cable not seated correctly, so easy to do and think its just knackered, even if it isn't the power cable it won't power up.
thanks Ras, I think it was either MI or MI II that I heard was poor quality on the one version, think it may have been the UK version compared to the US version, will see if I can find it again, may have been on AVF.
edit* this is where I saw it, 6th post...
have considered the MI boxset but i have heard that either the US or UK version is better than the other so just want to make the right decision on which one to buy.
I had full metal jacket sent to me by lovefilm over christmas and it was ok, nothing special though.
I have tokyo drift and...
mate, if you read above you will see this is from experience, mine went back at the beginning of december, they used to be realy quick but have changed the procedure now and it ships to germany first by boat.
might be worth checking all the connections as my flat mate also thought he had a bad one as it would turn on and it was just a cable wasn't seated correctly, might have been the video cable from tv to xbox but it just wasn't quite right and prevented it from turning on!
Might be worth a try if...
i agree with your play comment, they have gone seriously downhill in my estimations recently, used to love them back in the day when they were play247.
gamble really, sounds like both will be 1-2weeks anyway
i thought they were amazing at first but now i can't see what the fuss is about really, not jaw dropping any more, maybe i am just getting used to it but i watched a dvd the other day and didn't care that it wasn't a HD-DVD one.
mine died about 3 weeks before christmas and i had to send it back, so from my experience, yes i am sure, i tracked it all the way to portsmouth, then called up a week later to see where it was and the woman said it had just been received in the repair centre in germany and was going to be...
king kong was only included in the first batch until stocks lasted, there was a sticker on the box so they keep the same box once they ran out etc. so you guys might not get it i'm afraid.
play are crap, i hate them after the crap they pulled at christmas, they are nowhere enar as good as they...
microsoft take about a week and a half to 2 weeks, console has to make its way to germany by boat before its looked at, then they send you a reconditioned one from portsmouth, if i was you i would DOA it with Play and get them to send a new one out straight away once they have received it back...
got my one back from microsoft on wednesday, it took a week to get to germany for repair so was thinking there was no way i was going to get it back before christmas but a reconditioned one turned up 2 days later.
so happy i have it back for christmas though.
think i saw that the graphics chip in the wii costs around £12 or something, or actually that might have been $
there was a break down of the parts costs on the register, very cheap to make.
what sample is that please, link?
edit* found it, not sure if this will do anything for you unless you have a hd-dvd drive, even if it does play on a standard dvd player too.
best thing is to connect your pc to it by vga and play them through that.
what type of files did you download, wmv?
the dvd player might not support the file type?
i wouldn't expect to be able to put a hd vid on a memory stick and play it through a dvd player though, an xbox 360, yes (as long as its wmv)
is this a usb slot in the tv you are trying to play it through?
maybe the footage is 1080p and as there is nothing to output the image properly the tv is having a fit?
have you tried the same video through your computer plugged into your tv?
yes because none of us have a computer in the house and we would all prefer to use a games console to access the internet than a keyboard and mouse eh ;)
not sure what you mean when you say connecting the server to the kvm via usb, not just keyboard and mouse.
Most KVM's these days support both USB and PS/2 so you can use either connection, both are only transmitting the keyboard and mouse though, just one connection rather than the two when...
the whole MS suite for next year is going to look like this, its the same in outlook and office, its a softer look, takes some getting used to but you do after a while so i wouldn't worry about it, but yes it is different and it does look soft and out of focus at first.
