no, can't say i can fault their service too except that you have to wait ages if something doesn't arrive to have it replaced but I am just impatient and can't wait more than a couple of days, if I decide i want something i want it next day and i can always seem to find somewhere just as cheap...
tbh i have n ot been a fan of play for a couple of years now, when it was not so well known in the beginning i was constantly using it but nowadays there are so many better online retailers and ones that i know that if i order something one day it will arrive the next and not up to a week later...
LOL, all as bad as each other these console manufacturers, i didn't think this launch wpuld be any less of a farce than any of the others tbh, shortage creates a massive buzz and makes the news, everyone will be talking about it and desperate to get one as they are rare, they all do it.
not really as Bose says £££££££££££££££££££££££ to me
I was looking at these after a quick search,

not sure what I need though to be compatible with the 360, will the optical cable from the...
looks great, can't wait.
As a side note though, I can't really fit surround sound speakers in my room so can anyone recommend a decent set of headphones to use with these types fo games to scare the sh1t out of me and give me the surround sound effect please?
I guess they will be preferably...
mine is saying shipping today from gameplay so i should hoopefully be playing on this tomorrow night, anyone getting it to, might see you online?
also pre-prdered the HD-DVD addon today, everywhere is saying its in short supply and they can't guarantee it but i went for gameplay again as they...
Re: Sever blades
windows server 2003 standard only supports 4gb ram though whether on a 32 bit or 64 bit machine (license not physical capability)
Blade servers still require their own OS, if you want that amount of memory or processing power you would be looking at Integrity servers...
it doesn't, so when the HD-DVD drive comes out it will be over component i think which doesn't matter until the studios start to downgrade the video quality when not using HDMI, MS reckon that won't be for a while though, who knows? Component supports 720p and 1080i though anyway so no probs...
Live may cost but thats why its so good, if PS3 online is anything like PS2 online it will be terrible. AFAIk Sony aren't going to have their own servers and are going to use the games developers servers and while they don't have to charge they can do.
I was always a massive PS2 fan and hated...
is this for the 360?
i keep hearing this game mentioned, but mainly by people and not the press etc.
is it any good really, i am already getting COD3 and Gears of war, isn't this the same type of game?
with lovefilm its movie and games for £19.99 (thats the 3 at a time package) with screen select that option was £14.99 as they didn't charge extra to rent games aswell whereas lovefilm do.
as i have the two accounts i have a plentiful supply but i had problems in the early days with expecting...
Re: Fcuking Microsoft
we have a windows update server that downloads everything, then we test it all and when its deemed ok its then pushed out to the desktops but not before, would never allow the automatic update thing to happen on corporate machines if thats what is happening.
yes but you had media connect before the upgrade, from that setup website now, the only option is via WMP11, thats what i am trying to say, so anyone doing it for the first time now since the update uses WMP11
well until they merged with lovefilm and are no longer screenselect.
thats not a problem for us merged customers from screen select as we could have both games and dvd's from our list but lovefilm charge extra for games.
I had an account with both lovefilm and screenselect so i have 2 accounts...
its not a file transfer program, it simply plays the media off your hdd on your computer, ou have media player 11, choose the share option and get it to recognise the 360 which is what you say you have done.
Then all you do is go into the media section on dashboard and enter the pictures...
usb will be used for upgrades though or engineer access or future additions, doubt its for transferring off to a pc or dvd, too much scope for pirating films, may be a hack out there but sky aren't stupid these days.
i haven't got sky+ but to the best of my knowledge you can't output to a recorder, and if you could it would be encrypted.
I think that why you never tend to see any sky programmes on bit torrent, only ones that have been on freeview/terrestrial tv or shown in the US first.
I could be wrong...
i sort of took the laptop being sh1t out of the equation as its a 2ghz PM with 1gb ram and 256mb dedicated graphics card so in laptop terms pretty good.
this was a driect connection between the wireless and wireless, no cables between the router for neither laptop or xbox, maybe the cat5 cable...
cool thanks, will give that a go and see if they play better, tried via a USB key aswell and all worked fine again until i tried one of the MS high def vids, couldn't handle it but the high defgears of war demo it could although it was half the frame rate i think and the usb was a 1.1 and not 2.0...
managed to get my laptop connected to it via wireless, very cool for pics (esp. p**n ;) ) but streaming high quality vid is a nono, can't handle it, will need to try it with a network cable, see if that works. Will it need to be a crossover cable or straight through please?
thanks, does it have to be by ethernet or can it be via wireless?
ALso, could I put the WMV file onto a usb stick and play it from there to bypass connecting my laptop to the 360 please?
