i quite like that however i think to pull off the wheels it needs more stance, needs slammed, spacers and loose the w**k flaps. not to keen on the CS stickers either, less is more
depends what your after, clio 3 is a different ball game in refinement and build quality (im compairing non RS models, ive never had a play about with a 197/200, but my GT is similar to one!)
my 172 feels ancient compaired to my clio 3 but the 172 feels so old skool to drive the way its so...
so not the bumper ones then?
they just slide on yep, think you put them on and push them towards the rear of the car (either that or push them towards the front)
the engines are bullet proff, as long as the belts are done they wont give you any bother. alternators, starters and all other things are pretty reliable too rarely hear of them going, heard of a few PAS pumps going but they are an easy fix.
gearboxes have a strange reputation of being soft...
yep 1.5 k9k dci, standard a 1.6 16v has legs on it from 0-30mph, after that its even until 80mph then the 100 starts to pull a bit.
remapped its a different story!
plus they are twice as good to drive than the other non RS sports inc dci65/80
dynamique DCi 80 or if you can find one in your budget a Dynamique DCi 100 plenty about with climate and xenons.
1.6 16v's are ok, but they are s**t on fuel! we struggle to get high 30mpgs out our one and my mrs drives like miss daisy! she was getting mid 60s in the dci 100
gearbox issues are blown out the water, nothing wrong with them. if you drive like a spazzy it will probably break quicker than some other cars will, ive done 100k hard miles in 172s and never had a gearbox issue, infact never had an issue with the cars full stop.
it can be done quite cheap all you need is the Alternator and alternator bracket from a 172 cup along with the 172 cup aux belt.
wests sell a kit with everything needed, all brand new genuine renault too...
its one of they things, it might snap, it might not!, chances are it probably wont, however theres no way of telling! id probably tow it there as a precaution and ask them to push it into the workshop lol
